First visit and absolutely amazing experience.nService is on point staff is available for queries about menu and recommendations. Ambiance is calm yet friendly. Plenty of hot drink options including a variety of lattes to choose from. Loved the turmeric latte. Food was delicious and would definitely try again.
The Arches Couldn’t Top This Toast!!nnnnWe originally went down to the seafront today as the sun was shining and the tide was in – a beautiful morning for breakfast. We wandered around the Arches and looked at some of the newer restaurants such as The Wave and Casa Blanca, but nothing really stood out to us as offering something fresh, innovative, something different to a basic fry up!! and good value for money.nnSo instead, we decided to head back into Leigh-on-Sea, Leigh Road, and return to one of our favourites – Toast & Toppers – and we were so glad we did.nnWe ordered two different takes on their avocado on toast: one with barley sausage and an Italian pesto twist, and the other with wild mushrooms. Both dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavour, and absolutely outstanding in quality. The service was just as impressive – friendly, attentive, and relaxed – which really added to the experience.nnOnce again, Toast & Toppers didn’t disappoint. Fresh, creative, and delicious food in a welcoming setting – it remains one of our go-to spots in Leigh-on-Sea. Thoroughly recommended!
I got their “excuse my french toast” which comes with vanilla mascarpone and berries. As a person who loves berries i would have expected to love this french toast. However for 15£ its totally not worth it. One side of the toast was a bit burnt and i had to wait for around 15-20 minutes to get it as a takeaway package. The restaurant is cute but there isnt much space for waiting for a takeaway order so i felt awkward the whole time.
I've been to T&T a few times and this review is a mixture of my various experiencesnThe location is lovely, you're tucked away from the super busy part of Leigh Broadway, and have a higher chance of finding parking on the main road. The restaurant interiors are lovely, there's booth seating available in some parts too. I've never been in the garden, but it looks lovely from the parts I have seen online.nThe food can be a little bit inconsistent unfortunately. Sometimes I'll go and it's cooked really well, however, sometimes it can not be as good. I got their french when they first started doing the huge ones with all the decor, and it was some of the best I've had. Then I went again a few months later and it had no egg in it, and was more like a dry piece of brioche bread which was a let down. I do however, appreciate that restaurants have busier periods where the pressure in the kitchen is high, and the standard cannot always be kept. The menu has a great range and there is something for most people to eat!nOverall, the service is good and the dishes do come out promptly and it's a nice reliable place to find food in Leigh-on-Sea.
Never disappoints, cracking food that don’t make you feel sick after filling yourself up soooo much…
