I love this pie mash place it the next best thing since I used to go to the pie mash shops with my family in Bethnal green and Roman road. As an adult now I travel about 50 miles when I meet up with my brother and cousins to go to Tony's pie and mash shop..

Great, authentic pie, mash a liquor, if you like that kind of thing. They do excellent jellied eels too if that floats your boat. There is always a queue to be served, so they are clearly doing something right. This is a Waltham Abbey institution. Even David Beckham is a fan apparently.

I love pie and mash and cycled from hoddesdon to waltham abbey to try tonys. It was nice enough but not really worth the 35 minute cycle. The mash and liquor were nice but the pie was a bit small and the restaurant is a bit scruffy. Clean but just a bit shabby looking.
