"Tonkotsu East is located under the railway arches in Haggerston, Hackney. We're just a minute from Haggerston Overground station and there are lots of bus routes nearby. We're close to the Regent's Canal, as well as Broadway Market which has lots of shops & cafes, and the Hackney City Farm.Since the early days we've put our heart and soul into every bowl - making our noodles, broths, katsu curries, gyoza and sides from scratch. You can watch our noodles being made if you grab a table here."

Super friendly service , delicious noodles and really nice flavours for quality and price is a perfect spot for a quick ramen for when you are craving one !!! Will definitely be back more often. PS : they are dog friendly!Food: 5/5
Delicious ramen! Had the chicken teriyaki summer ramen cold which was really good. The sides were great too - broccoli kimchi and mushroom dumplings were the best. Chef cut up our birthday cake which was really kind of- though they sliced the entire huge cake even though there was only 8 of us but not a big deal. Cool that you can see where the noodles get made! Service was alright but didn’t get offer of any more drinks. Had the nori chilli margarita - loved the nori rim but drink was a bit too sweet for a marg.
Best meal I've had in a long time. The dumplings, karaage tonkotsu was so full of flavour. I added the chilli oil which elevated it even more. It was just as good when finished my left overs the next day. Staff were very quick and helpful, even offered to charge my phone for me when I said it was dying.Food: 5/5
We had a great lunch also thanks to Durga our waiter, she was so patient nice and professional. Food was really good, arrived pretty fast. The kid meal was just incredible, picture attached! We’ll be back! Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu portion and presentation
This is a nice casual lunch/dinner place for a standard ramen. Flavours were good, the presentation was lovely. But I wouldn't recommend the happy hour cocktails personally, they're very small and maybe not my style as I prefer sweet drinks. Service was excellent, with the server being attentive and kind.Food: 4/5

Had some wonderful conversation with my friend here in the evening. Great people who treated me and well i enjoyed every bit of Karage with my Kirin . Props to Lana, India and Durga.Food: 5/5
Always a great welcome from Durga and Lana. Both are very attentive and respectful. The food is always glorious, sometimes with new editions like the new chicken wings, which go down a real treat! You always feel invigorated after eating at Tonkotsu! Balanced! and Ready-to-Go! Wheelchair accessibility: Always help with fitting Me in and accommodating My needs.
This was my first time here and I will most certainly be visiting again. The food was absolutely delicious and their lunch time deal is great value. The homemade noodles were perfect, not too hard or soft. The broth was full of flavour and the pork was super tasty and soft. I can’t wait to visit again. The staff were all super helpful and our food came at the speed of light.
Nice food, good atmosphere. I really like that the noodles are made fresh on site. A bit pricey though Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options like tofu
