Long awaited first time visiting this fantastic country pub did not disappoint. Sunday roast was great and the friendly and welcoming staff topped off a perfect visit. Will definitely be returning, just have to remember to book well in advance.
Such an amazing pub. Always made to feel welcome by the Landlord and staff. Not only is the Beer and Cider good but the food is amazing. Totally recommend to find this little Gem. Sorry about Tegen The Dog making a lot of noise on Saturday 26th November. Merry Christmas
Great beer. Good food. Designated driver says the tonic water was smashing. Welcoming hosts What's not too like.
Fantastic proper Devon pub with tasty home cooked food. Superb selection of beers and cider with knowledgeable and very friendly staff.

A stunning hidden gem, the newly refurbished room we stayed in definitely has the wow and comfort factor. Everything has been carefully thought out to perfection, spotlessly clean, modern light bright and homely, for us it was, simply perfect for our weekend stay visiting friends locally. A pub steeped in history with loads of character and charming rooms to drink, dine and relax. Great quality home cooked pub food, from our evening meal to the award winning breakfast, very high standard, from fruit, cereals, traditional cooked breakfast, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon to the fish and chips all were fabulous produced and the breakfast lived up to expectations, definitely award winning The warm welcome we received on arrival from the team made our long journey from Yorkshire worth it! Friendly, attentive, our every need is catered for. We will be back for sure and happy to recommend, top-notch IMO.
Fantastic pub. Really welcoming, friendly staff. Food was delicious. My husband had a steak pie and I had the vegetarian lasagna. Being veggie it can be hard to find good vegan/veggie food but this place had lots of choice. We highly recommend stopping here for food or drink as the hospitality is second to none.
Great fish Friday lunch. Amazing quality and fresh. Thoroughly recommended.
Great pub with proper rural atmosphere. Food lovely, staff friendly and welcoming and excellent choice of ciders.
