Absolutely brilliant service from arrival to leaving. The food was second to none. The garlic mushrooms were divine and the leek & potato soup was so tasty and piping hot. We will definitely return with family to try the lunch special.
Sunday lunch today. We all had roast lamb - very disappointing, the portions were small and fatty. The Yorkshires were overcooked, whilst the carrots were undercooked. Too few vegetables; a small plate of carrots, broccoli and red cabbage very nice, with a fairly tasteless cauliflower cheese. Greasy gravy rounded it all off nicely! The pub had got very busy by the time we got the sweet menu, but even allowing for that we had to wait an overly long time to place our order. When the dishes came they were very pleasant, the best part of the meal. Service was attentive, with our drinks brought to our table by friendly staff. Perhaps the weekly menu is better, but I certainly can't recommend the Sunday roast.
Very friendly and helpful service. Good range of ales plus some good local cider. Food was also great. Easy parking and access.

We went there for Sunday lunch, Amazing. We also went for lunch during the week as we were on holiday nearby we enjoyed a lovely 3 bean chilli which was very flavorful

Had a lovely lunch here today 30.10.21. The food was absolutely gorgeous, best meal out I've had in ages! Very reasonably priced too. The lady behind the bar was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend :
We chose to eat here this evening having seen really good reviews and were so glad we did ! The menu and specials offered great choices . I chose chicken fajitas which were the best I've ever had. My husband chose aromatic duck which was beautifully cooked and presented. We were given a table by the roaring fire and service and ambience was truly homely. Cannot recommend too highly !
We had a really tasty meal here. Happy to amend the menu to suit an awkward child, he left happy and full! I had pie, chips and a bowl of veg and hubby had belly pork. All cooked perfectly and sadly didn't have room for dessert which sounded fab.
