This is one of my favourite places to eat. It's clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and food is lovely. The breakfast I have tried and I believe to be the best value in Southend. I have also had the carvery and that was so good, and is the absolute best value. Also, situated on the seafront. So when you come out fit to bursting and feeling guilty, you can go for a nice walk along the seafront and burn off some of those calories.

This toby carvery was just lovely to sit and eat in. I have never seen one like it. The prices were brilliant and the place it self is family friendly. They have a pool table witch gave it that little bit more of a good place. So when your waiting to order food or after your food you could have a game. The meal sizes were brilliant and well worth your money 👍

Visited this evening with family and just wanted to express my delight. (I'm not usually one for reviews but I felt compelled) We were seated by our waitress Crystal. She was an absolute pleasure. From start to finish she was polite and friendly and tended to our needs perfectly. The Food was hot, fresh and plentiful, the chef Archie was very cheery also, There was a good selection of veg and condiments. Staff definitely made the atmosphere warm, relaxed and welcoming. At just £6.99 you really can't go wrong. We had a grand old time and we will be back in due course.

As much as you can eat breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not to busy on an April Saturday morning in a nice location to walk it off on the seafront afterwards.

This is a very good Toby Carvery. It's in a nice location and a lovely building. Have had many meals here. Breakfast from the buffet when sitting outside in summer is good as the patio area is spacious and pleasant. Otherwise it's your usual cosy seating inside with roast/carvery in addition to a menu. I'd rate the food here slightly better than the other nearby Toby's. The veg just feels like it hasn't been sitting there as long but of course it can be hit and miss depending on how busy they are. Staff lovely and friendly, drinks always cheap and a pool table in the bar for if you arrive early. Football on the TV too!
