Stopped off last night. Didn't book but they found us a table. Jayne, our waitress, was superb. Very good at her job, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was polite and seemed keen to be there, unlike some youth of today. Out meal was much better than the last time I went to Toby somewhere in Kent, this was hot, not over cooked and very tasty. Thank you and well done all. Parking: Not right outside the door, but easy enough.
We have been here for breakfast a few times a nice variety of cooked options to choose from. Staff are always friendly, and service is very good we also come here for dinner regularly in the restaurant and pay at the end of the meal, I always remember my app for staff to scan. This one particular occasion we sat near the bar, which you have to pay for your meal first. I completely forgot to open the app on arrival, I got us a table whilst my husband paid for our meals. After getting a second drink, the barman mentioned it was 50% off, which was by then too late to get the discount. It would have been lovely to have been told this at time of payment
Great from the moment we arrived, we got the early but our table was ready. We were celebrating my nana 93rd birthday and there were 11 of us adults and kids. The waitress was amazing really attends and helpful. Food was lovely as always. Will definitely be back
Exactly what you would expect from a Toby - good value-filling food and great service. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much for the staff. One of our party had mobility issues and without asking or prompting the gentleman that seated us asked if she was ok with the steps and then sat us right near the serving area so she didn't have far to walk. The food was very well priced, fresh and hot. Service throughout was excellent
We had a good roast but the Sticky Toffee pudding was really a sponge cake with some syrup on top. The service from Denise was excellent. She was attentive without being pushy and didn't keep referring to us as 'guys'.Food: 4/5
Lovely food and the kids always enjoy their ice cream sundaes after. It was very busy, took about 25 minutes from joining the que for food to actually getting to the counter, there was also a lot of spilled veg on the floor by the gravy counter which made it slippery. Due to it being very busy it felt really cramped and not a lot of space between tables but overall it was a decent carvery.
Not as busy as last week. Cold plate, soggy veg and incinerated beef with toffee looking sauce on topglaze my foot! Deserts and waitress's lovely. Will be giving it a rest for a while. Hopefully a new chef will appear. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options.
A brilliant Toby carvery, great food, hot and tasty with a good selection of vegetables. It was really busy on my visit, which was on a Saturday evening, but the queue for the carvery moved along quite well. There is ample car parking, and there are a number of disabled parking spaces. I didn't think the car park was that well lit, but that's just me! Service was excellent, with helpful, friendly staff despite it being very busy. I would recommend that you book a table before you arrive. Parking: Good size, but it is dimly lit in my opinion. The exit is a bit fiddly. Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few spaces available
Can't go wrong with this place. All aspects of roast dinner very well done, service is excellent, and with a good atmosphere. All for a very reasonable price! Glad it's my local!
Breakfast has a good selection to choose from and most is suitable for a gluten free diet. Plates and cutlery always clean. Free, regular coffee top-ups. Staff are friendly and helpfulFood: 5/5
