Met our family here as a half way point. Booked a table for 5 1 wheelchair. Table was ready and manager welcomed us and made us feel welcome. Food was plentiful and well presented. Our drinks waiter Daniel was very attentive and looked after us 100%. Would definitely revisit for another carvery next time we are down from Lincolnshire. Parking: Easy to log registration for car parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide aisles but if a chair is sticking out you only have to move it.
Had a great lunch at today. Sarah J was a great host. The pigs in blankets were nice crispy and juicy, a nice tasty recommendation. We only had smaller plates but more than enough for us with smaller appetites! The veggies could have been warmer, the only negative, but could be expected as it was a quieter spell in the day.
Met up with family at Toby carvery for breakfast. This is not our usual place to meet but thought we would give it a go. I must say that the service from the friendly staff was outstanding from the time we arrived to the time we finished and left. The manger Sarah was absolutely amazing as we had an allergy in our group she made sure that this was catered for and made us feel extremely comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for her. All creator goes to her for the way she leads her staff. Our first visit was amazing and I will def recommend this place to friends
We were celebrating a birthday and wanted somewhere local to go,Toby is just down the road from us,so we booked. The service was great and we didn't feel rushed. The food was spot on,we all had carvery and the meat and veg were delicious. Puddings were also lovely and there was a good choice. All in all a great night out!
The guy who was Head of House that night seemed more interested in getting his staff to go home at 9pm then seeing to us....the customers. Although our reservation was booked over a week ago we had to wait for him to find us a table he said he wanted to close off part of the restaurant to make it easier for his staff so was changing our table. So 6 of us were crammed in booth in the corner. Even though there were plenty of tables by the far window for two tables to be put together. The staff weren't very attentive we had to go to the bar to get our drinks. The guys on the carvery were very friendly and welcoming though and the food tasted very good.
The place is a little dated and sad looking but we were seated quickly. With what seemed only one waiter it took a shor while for our order to be taken but this didn't bother us too much as we weren't in a rush. We did have to draw attention to the kitchen/carvery staff as it wasn't a busy period nobody was out serving. The meat was fabulous and although the vegetables immediately fresh they were fine and what you should expect from a carvery style dinner. Overall we ate a lot of food for what we paid
DO NOT GO HERE. if I could give it zero stars I would. We booked a table for 12 for breakfast at 10.30. The first thing they said was “we have no food left you better get up there quick, as we finish at 11”. The manager was trying to do us a favour by giving 20% off, however the food and service was shocking. I will never be going back. Also thanks for the coco pops out of a mug
Despite the restaurant being reasonably busy, the food had the taste and texture of being under the hot lamps for quite a while. The meat portions issued by the carvers always seem to be very random. One person would get given very little and poor cuts of meat, then the next would get great wedges of the best parts. No care or consciousness in portion control and evenness between customers.
Both the food and service was excellent. It was great value also. Both my husband and I had the carvery and cookie dough sundae for dessert and enjoyed every mouthful. We had a wonderful young lad serving us who was polite and attentive. Parking: Handy parking outside. Don't forget to put in your car registration number at the reception desk.
We visited today for a breakfast as a table of three. We were told that two large tables had booked in, but they managed to squeeze us in. The table was clean and set up for us and we made our way to the breakfast buffet. Food was delicious as was the coffee. The staff were working tirelessly on a busy Sunday morning to make sure all of our needs were met. Thank you tobys! Will be visiting again
