We booked online today, because we know Sundays are busy here. We were shown to our table straight away and ordered drinks. We went up to the carvery, where there was a bit of a que. The meat portions were reasonable, with a choice of Turkey, pork, beef, lamb and gammon. Plenty of vegetables to choose from as well and gravey. The beef I had was quite chewey, but the rest of the meal was fine. Belinda the waitress was very attentive as well. The Tobey isn't as cheap as it used to be, but still value for money.
We just came back from a lovely family meal here and the food was excellent, but the customer service by our waitress Victoria was second to none. She was very bubbly, attentive and just fantastic with my sisters two young boys. She is a credit to the team here and I wish every restaurant had people like her working there. Kid-friendliness: Victoria who works here was great with the children and there is a good variety of kids meals. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available and allergy menu available to view online too.
Greeted fine and shown to table Drinks order taken Sat waiting and nothing Went to bar to ask staff procedure for carvery Chose carvery Sat down Still no drinks Carrots were cold Beef bland and chewy very fatty Could see drinks sitting on bar but no staff bringing them over but did other drinks orders Finally got drinks 3 drinks orders went out while ours was sat at bar Staff member asked how it was Explained hadn’t been to a Toby’s for years and expected more. She told me there was 2 staff on, was busy and there would be an email address on receipt to leave feedback. 4 staff visible and working.
Had a lovely spontaneous meal at Toby Carvery. We all had a carvery including my 13 month old - it was a very good price! Anna our waitress was so lovely, going above and beyond. Lovely lady and a credit to your team. Will definitely be back again soon.Food: 5/5
We had a lovely Monday lunchtime carvery. Food was nicely cooked and fresh. Surprisingly busy as it was term time, lots of younger families in there but nice atmosphere. We were on our way to the airport so it was a great start to our holiday.Food: 5/5
We were greeted by the manager who was polite and showed us to our table. But by far the best part of the night was our service lady by the name of Victoria. She was really helpful and great with our boys they loved her can't thank her enough it's people like her who do the service proud.
I want to personally thank Victoria on her excellent customer service today. She went above and beyond tonight. Made our family meal before Christmas so easy and she even got my 2 year old to relax and get through the evening. Staff like that are found few and far between. In an industry so tough in these trying times, pure gold ! Vegetarian options: Even had veggie gravy !! Kid-friendliness: Victoria was helpful with my little one. Parking: Easy access parking. Plenty of space
Anna was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us even though she was very busy. She provided us with exceptional service. We will definitely be visiting again not only for the beautiful food but the great customer service.Food: 5/5
It was a long wait for table. But it was Sunday and we hadn’t booked so was very pleased to be able to get table at all. Good was delicious as usual. Would have liked different veggies but that’s my taste. Really enjoyed the food .
Food was all nice my vegetarian options was lovely roast potatoes were dry mash option was better. Service was good lady serving was pleasant. Atmosphere was a busy lots off families with kids it was a 50% off meal evening so it was busy because of that. Vegetarian options: Had the vegetarian option was really good
