First time I’ve been in here, food was amazing. Great hosting too with a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again.

We stopped here for a late lunch around 2 pm on Wednesday. The place was almost empty. We were greeted by multiple waiters, and they sat us down and then took our order. We had the mid week carvery. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get.nThe meat was a bit dry, but we still enjoyed it. I ordered sticky toffee pudding, but when I got it, it was a white sponge with caramel sauce. I asked the waiter if he brought me the right pudding, and he said yes. It was definitely not sticky toffee pudding. When we were paying the bill, he offered to call his manager to cancel the pudding as he admitted that it wasn't the pudding that I ordered. Other than that, it was good food.

I went with a one4all card with my wife. Front of house service was brilliant Shaun looked after us as soon as we entered. Found us a table and sorted us out with drinks never needed to go to the bar at all.nThe carvery was absolutely delicious the best we have had for years.nPlenty of meat choices Pork, Ham, Turkey, Beef and Lamb.nAll was top notch tasty and tender not to miss mentioning the lovely veg, potatoes, Gravy Etc.nWould recommend the Clifton arms to anyone.. Popped in for an impromptu carvery on the way home from from some Christmas shopping. Very friendly service particularly Chris who was very cheerful and friendly. Dinner and drinks for less than £30 and a better than normal choice of potatoes and vegetables. The beef was excellent and a very generous portion. Been to a few local carvery and this was one of the best in the area. Thoroughly recommended.

I went for a lunchtime meal with a friend, the staff were straightaway very friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and chatting to us like we were regulars. This was our first time here. The food was lovely, although the red cabbage was a bit dry for me and the roast potatoes were also a bit dry for me, but that could be just down to my tastes. Other than that, a totally brilliant experience, would absolutely go again.
