Went to Toby Carvery Binley for the first time and I was not disappointed! Staff were lovely and warm, but a shout out to Pauline, who waited on us. Pauline was so lovely and smiley! She made the experience even better! 100% will be returning : also great value for money and if you want a good roast this is where to go!
Food was warm and tasted amazing. We had a lovely server called Jenson, who checked on us regularly and made sure we were satisfied with our food and drinks. We wanted dessert was unsure what we wanted so he asked us what we were in the mood for then recommended what sounded the best for us both. He was all smiles and joked about with us which was nice. Very lovely lad 10/10 would go again if he was our server.
I'd love to say l enjoyed it but sadly on this occasion l did not. It was my birthday and l chose to go for my favourite meal, which is a carvery. I was left disappointed and as a result l couldn't eat my food. I understand it is incredibly difficult to keep things from drying up and staying warm, as l don't suppose you ever really know how many to cater for. It was relatively quiet. The food was barely warm and the roasties were dried up, chewy and cold. That is usually my favourite part along with the Yorkshire. The gravy was virtually non existent, so we ended up with the very bottom of the pot. One was empty and the other very low. Which meant we had all the snotty bits and that wasn't hot either. Someone did eventually ask us how our food was and she was helpful in the fact she went to get us some fresh gravy. Sadly, this was too late and didn't help heat up the food. It certainly helped though. She did offer me another trip to the carvery but the food would have been the same, so l declined. I don't envy the job of trying to do a roast when you aren't sure how many are eating. I can't cope with 4 of us at home, let alone a pub full. Thankfully, my favourite pudding jam sponge and ice cream was on the menu, as a lot of the time it isn't available. I absolutely love Toby usually but on this occasion l was disappointed and regretted making it my choice of birthday meal. The pudding didn't disappoint though and l had plenty of room to eat it. So thumbs up to the pudding. Parking: Parking is nice and easy and close by. Although be careful of all the deep puddles, making it difficult to not get your feet wet, if it's been raining.
Lovely food, service acceptional, lovely friendly staff very welcoming. Would definitely recommend as everything was beautifully cooked and served/presented really well. Good parking easy to get to and great value.
Food was lovely. Chef was flexible as I was feeding myself and two little ones. Waitress was helpful. Even helped us find a missing tooth my daughter just lost
Me and my boyfriend have been coming to this Toby since we moved to this part of Coventry and the same waitresses have always worked here and looked after us wonderfully. I’ve had Vickie as a waitress a few times and she was brilliant today. She was smiley, caring and was really accommodating when we asked to move tables. The food was brilliant as always.
The place was packed with customers, but the staff was amazing. The chef was nice to everyone and the person in the kitchen was amazing. He brang some food over that I asked to be told when it was done. Also, the servers were so polite even when faced with rude people all day.
We booked a table for 8pm on Friday night as we were going to the dive show with friends. Got there at 7.30 our friends already there and had eaten. we ordered drinks and a carvery no problem. we settled in after our long drive. drinks arrived and then the host comes over and tells us there is only pork left as they forgot to put the meat in the oven 6hrs ago and no one checked. there was a very small choice of veggie options. We went to look but the pork looked tired. We asked if as there was nothing we wanted would it be OK to get fish and chips and eat them while we were having drinks. No not allowed so we had to leave to get food and we were told we could have the drinks to go to our room in the travelodge free. We would have spent a lot more on drinks if they allowed us to have our take out. How could they not know they hadn't put the carvery meat in the oven when they are principally a carvery restaurant.
We arrived early for the carvery but still had a lovely welcome. The host seated us whilst they cleared from breakfast then taken through to the restaurant where our drinks order was taken. When the carvery was ready the host came to tell us we could go up
Pauline was an absolute delight! No request to big all small. Always with a smile on her face. Was really bright and bubbly and made us feel welcome. Amazing asset to the team!
