.30p wing Wednesday is worth it, probably the best wings in Coventry that I have tried. The castle rivals them only. Have pool upstairs and it’s a fairly busy bar. Good outdoor seating during when the weather cooperates.
Okay... this is mainly a student pub. My son has just graduated at Coventry university, with a 1st class honours I proudly add and wanted to show us where he frequently drank and sometimes ate. He says the food is great, and bearing in mind he has a chef for a father... that's me I trust his judgement. We only had drinks but the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. I recommend this 'ere pub. Didn't get the chaps name that served us but he was one of the elders I would say
We were in the area, had 30 mins to spare and wanted to grab a hot drink and I was pleasantly surprised that they do Vegan milk alternatives in The Phoenix. Had we more time I would have definitely checked out their food menu. As it was, we just had a good ol cuppa and admired the creativity of the decor. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was really nice and I will likely go back, when in the area and have a little more time.
It's a nice pub with indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are reasonable. They offer variety of food, and drinks. Their burgers are fine and surprisingly their dumplings are good too. It's a great place to have a night out with friends. Nice thing about this place is they use a DJ app that allows you to choose song from their albums.
Came for bottomless brunch and it was insane!! We ordered the bottomless wings as well. Great value for money and AMAZING service. I can’t remember our waiters name but did Friday afternoons and he was incredible. Absolutely fantastic service. So friendly and great timing. He made the drinks too!!! 10/10 would recommend
Went on a Sunday night. Entry fee - 3 £ per person Min. Age - 25 Ambience - Casual meet-up with friends, dirtier than others. One can see many hippie looking people - who have glitters on their faces, long hair, leather jackets. There is a dance floor with a bar counter on the first floor covered in alcohol. Toilets are very dirty, the ground floor toilet is not functioning. Raw ambience.
Owner and bouncers wouldn’t let us in and violently kicked us out for absolutely no reason and without explanation. We were well dressed, within opening hours, well behaved and the pub was half empty.
My opinion from 16.08: Very good cider and really good fries with beef and bbq sauce on top. My opinion from yesterday: they started to serve warm cider it is not good right now. When I asked the waiter why it is like that she said: “I don’t know” and she left without a word. That's not how a waitress should act.
Nice sports bar. Friendly staff and plenty of screens and a projector round back. Good selection of beer and good food. Not too bad prices. Student atmosphere with a pinch of sports bar Overall a good place to watch a match, get some food or grab a pint with you friends ...P.S. some of the hottest sauce available for food.
Went there for lunch with a bunch of friends. We got the tray to share with some extra nachos and it was more than enough. Everything was so good, especially the guacamole. Atmosphere seemed quiet and friendly. We had fries, so many nachos, fried mushrooms and fried chicken, 1/4 of a burger each, some garlic bread and even more fried chicken i believe. And it only amounted to 3 pounds per person. They also have some vegetarian/vegan options, and the menu selection is huge.
