Came here with a friend using a group on voucher and we weren't blown away. I get the tea has a variety of flavours but it is wasted when they don't wash the tea pots properly so it all blends together. Also service is a little slow as they place priority over walk ins over bookings. The person who served us was lovely and explained everything about how to order etc but again getting attention after the initial order we got forgotten. The afternoon tea food was again ok. The cakes where way too sweet and the best part was the sandwiches. We've been, it's alright... Wouldn't pay full price and I won't go back.
The ambience of the shop was great. Loved the decor of the shop. The staff were friendly too. The tea was okay. Not strong enough in my opinion just very watery.
I've been going here for lunch and tea quite often over the last year and have always been incredibly happy with the food and service. Although it is a bit pricier than other lunch spots, it is well worth it as the staff are fast and helpful, the food is healthy while still being delicious, and they have a terrific selection of teas and sweets.
This place is all about the tea. Huge selection of teas from the traditional to the more unique. Afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and scones is excellent value though the scones tasted a little old. Decor is modern and polished but a bit scruffy round the edges. Overall a good spot worth remembering and a must for tea connesiurs.
Thoroughly enjoyed an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter inspired afternoon tea. Staff were very welcoming and always at hand if you need a refill. Only one toilet, do prepare to queue for the loo.
As a fan of a pre-work bacon sandwich I was intrigued when I saw this sign on my walk to the office. I went in an ordered and the disappointment in receiving my sandwich can’t be understated, the bread was stale, the bacon rubbery and they seemed to be adhering to WW2 style rationing with the butter. To make a bold statement like “the best bacon sandwich in the city” is utterly ridiculous when the quality is so low. I would say it was the worst bacon sandwich in the city if I hadn’t tried one from eat up the road who refuse to butter theirs at all so I’ll say it is the second worst bacon sandwich I have had in the city. Avoid like the plague.
Huge selection of tea, great decor but the salad isn't as fresh as expected. Great place for catching up with friends .
The best place you can find all over UK to get a perfect cake. Our gests and we were just in love with the cake. Definetely this is going to be the only place to get a cake from !
Lovely tea. Cakes, scones and sandwiches were delicious. The service was very good too. Would definitely go again.
Food was delicious. Service was nice but could be a little bit better / more attentive.
