RUDE PASSPORT COLLECTION STAFF: here's the story. PHOTO ATTATCHED taken from the public street, therefore compliant with the law - although I have taken the courtesy of blocking any potentially sensitive informationnnAs I am called to the desk, the woman rudely asks for my documents and rolls her eyes at me when I ask for clarification. This is no exaggeration she begins to sarcastically respond to me when I ask her to confirm if this is the right document. She says to me phrases along the line of 'can't you read, it's right there' whilst I simply ask her to verify my documents - as is her job.nnFurthermore, her co-worker on the right questions if I am even a British citizen, falsely telling me my ID is invalid and not what a British citizen would have. This experience unfortunately aligns with other reviews, who have also felt racially profiled, and ridiculed.nnFollowing this, I ask for their names. They both refuse to give it to me. They then refuse to call their supervisor. I will be making a complaint of both customer service people at the passport collection office 12:43 Monday 2nd September 2024.nnAs a side note I also noticed they were rude to everyone who came before me as well. Serious disciplinary action is necessary.
UKVCAS signing with TLS Contact is the one of the worst contracts UKVI could sign. Although they might not be bothered by the disastrous service of the people from TLS contact, but the applicants will, and that explains how little we matter.nnHere, one of all my awful experiences with them.nnFirst of all, TLS Contact make their website for you NOT to apply as the spouse of an European citizen as this is free of charge. They don’t give you the option in the drop-down. So when I try to work out the selection you try to pick the one I don’t pay to play it safe. TWICE I’ve “applied to the wrong visa” according to them. Although I made the correct selection I have all the proofs and I didn’t pay for the service as I didn’t have to.nnTLS Contact London didn’t want to accept my passport as in saying my passport has a problem they’re lack of Knowledge and Nule research skills is abobinable, my passport was an old type of passport, not the one they are used to now. The lady working out my application called one of her supervisors and this guy said “oh them, they don’t know themselves” which I found insulting of course.nnThey had me waiting until one of them “decided to accept the passport”. They decided to re-apply with the other number of my passport that’s the one they are used to. They made the whole application again “as a way of helping me because I was already there and I had the documents”. I have no idea what they submitted because I couldn’t see obviously.nnThey couldn’t apply as a “spouse of an European citizen” because I didn’t have an updated marriage certificate. THIS WAS NOT on the list of requirements. Therefore I didn’t have it. I tried to explain this to the lady and said “stop talking and listen to me”, I was left speechless, I couldn’t even react as I genuinely couldn’t believe what was happening.nnSo oh surprise, I have to apply as a regular tourist paying all the possible and extras fees, £140nnI had taken my photo I’ve been doing ALL my paperwork without any issue. The lady saw my picture, LAUGHED in a mockery way and said “you have too much hair in the neck, go to the booth and take another one”. That’s a whole queue and £10 for another picture they satisfied their ridiculous requirements.nnDuring the appointment I ASKED twice to show me the way to apply correctly on the website, of course she didn’t.nnAfter paying and doing everything they asked me to do, I left the awful place and head back to the city which I live, I don’t live in London.nnRemember I didn’t pay the service fee because I had indeed picked the “spouse of European” so I didn’t have to pay but they said I applied wrong and I TRIED to explain this to the lady but she shut me up? Well, she was calling me with a fake and nice voice telling me that I didn’t pay the service fee, she wanted me to go back to their offices and make the £35 payment fee. She wanted me to go the following day or Saturday. I told her going to London only in train tickets it’s £150!! And that of course I wasn’t going to do it, so I needed to cancel my application, refund me for all the bloody fees they made me pay and send me the passport back. She convinced one of her supervisors for me to pay my phone so I had to give her MY CARD DETAILS over the phone which made me extremely uncomfortable but this was the last thing I was complying with.nnThey know their way, this worked. If you can, avoid at all costs and travel to another country.
Overall experience was good. Staff were really helpful and friendly. They were able to clear our doubts. Special thanks to staff who were helping us through out the application process. TLS contact for Switzerland.nnNearest train station is Wandsworth town.
I recently had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience at TLS London, and I feel compelled to warn others about the unprofessionalism and inefficiency I encountered. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The staff were rude and dismissive, offering little assistance and barely acknowledging the concerns of those waiting.nnDespite having an appointment, I was left waiting for an unacceptable amount of time, with no explanation or updates provided. The entire process seemed disorganized, with staff frequently misplacing documents and providing conflicting instructions. The lack of communication throughout was astounding, leaving many of us confused and frustrated.nnTo make matters worse, the facility itself was overcrowded and poorly managed, with no regard for social distancing or comfort. People were left standing for long periods due to insufficient seating, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic.nnFor a service that should be straightforward and efficient, TLS London was anything but. Their unprofessional approach, lack of organization, and complete disregard for customers' time left me thoroughly disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider before using their services.
I had an incredibly frustrating and exhausting experience at TLS London. Despite having low expectations from previous visits, I was shocked by the rude and unprofessional treatment I received.nnAfter weeks of refreshing their site just to secure an appointment, I left Cardiff at 5 am, took time off work, and travelled three hours to their distanced London site, only to be refused at the door because I didn’t have a physical BRP card — even though the UK no longer issues them and will phase them out by the end of 2024. I provided my e-visa share code and printed proof of my residency, which the UK government itself says is sufficient, but the staff refused to accept it. They repeatedly interrupted me as I tried to explain, insisting that a physical BRP was mandatory even asking me to submit any expired physical BRP to bypass it- although I appreciate that staff's attempting to help— completely ignoring the fact that the system had changed.nnDespite explaining that I had lost my previous BRP and providing a handwritten police note from South Wales Police and previous e-mail communications from my university confirming that I couldn’t get a new BRP due to the government’s updated rules, they rejected everything. Instead, they bizarrely demanded some other kind of official police report, possibly a format from the English police, even though I don’t live in England.nnWhen I asked to keep my appointment and go to a nearby police station to get whatever additional report they wanted, they refused. I then asked if I could submit the rest of my documents and provide anything missing later — again, denied. I even offered to submit my application with whatever materials I had on hand, knowing the visa officer could easily verify my residency online. Still, they refused, it's as though the staff had forgotten that they were meant to be a visa service intermediary and not some lofty gatekeepers passing judgment on applicants.nnThe root of my frustration lies in faulty processes, which, I am confident, will soon need to be revised since no one will have a physical BRP card for them to be inspected after December. However, what made my experience truly intolerable was that many of their staff members were dismissive and lacked professionalism, proper training, and basic respect for customers. One of the staff members claimed that my share code was invalid because it would expire in December — which is entirely false, as all codes generated on gov.uk are valid for three months. They also implied I was somehow to blame for losing my BRP as if I was trying to avoid getting a new one, even though I was following policy. The supervisor, in particular, was extremely rude, speaking to me in a condescending manner and even turning their back on me mid-conversation, walking away while I was still talking. This lack of basic respect for customers — or even just for people in general — was appalling.nnMy visit was both physically and mentally exhausting. Their staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Their procedures are outdated and inconsistent with the current situation, and the entire process felt more like an ordeal than a service. I will avoid TLS London at all costs in the future, and I highly recommend others do the same. Their service is nothing short of disgraceful.
