The worst dentist I have ever been to in my entire life. The 'dentist' told me via email she could treat my teeth grinding and make me a dental splint. When I turned up for my appointment she said that she had never heard of a dental splint and could not help me. I was actually so shocked and angry that I just walked out mid appointment. Not to mention she was incredibly rude and dismissive...avoid like the plague.
Incredibly poor service and lines of communication from receptionist staff. If I could give this practice 0 stars I would. Such a shame that the only NHS dental services accessible in Ashbourne are from this shambles of a surgery. If you have the means of being able to travel elsewhere for NHS dental care I strongly suggest you do and avoid this place.
I had some fairly significant work done on one of my teeth after part of it broke. Although I have been with this practice for a few years, this was the first major work that I've needed. Previously, it was just a scale and polish pre-Covid. I was seen as usual by Medeea who was her customary bright, friendly, and cheerful self. She explained what was going to happen, even including an explanation as to why dentists ask you to "open wide" when having an injection! She took great care throughout, and I was thoroughly pleased with the result. Thank you, Medeea and your assistant whose name I don't know.
I have been a patient here for many years, I don't recognize the comments in the negative reviews. The staff have always been polite and helpful to me. The dental care I have received has been absolutely fine. My wife and children are all patients here, none of us have had any issues.
Had a tooth extraction today and can't fault the service I received. The practice is highly organised with all the measures for Covid making the visit feel very safe. My treatment was carried out by a friendly and highly professional team from receptionists, nurses and the dentist. Highly recommend.
Having seen the 2 star overall rating I was apprehensive about registering here. However they were the only practice in Ashbourne to be taking on new NHS patients, so I didn't have a massive choice. From speaking to the reception team on the phone they were amazing, friendly and helpful! The dentist was professional, and explained everything. I would highly recommend!
DO NOT COME HERE the majority of the workers are so rude and unprofessional. They make me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I wasn’t bothered about dental trips before coming here but now I feel like I’m a kid again who fears the dentist because I just don’t feel I can trust them. I only went twice. First was a normal check up. They said I had a serious problem so scheduled me for a follow up in which they would carry out surgery, which was a horrific experience. It was a long and painful procedure that in the end up didn’t even fix the issue... When I moved to another dentistry, they told me that TLC had completely blown this minor issue out of proportion, and went on to fix the small issue that TLC had claimed was a huge issue swiftly and painlessly, completely unlike TLCs previous attempt. Safe to say I won’t be coming back.
Terrible service! After having my appointment cancelled 3 times within the last year twice due to covid which I understand I arrived for a check up last week. Arriving on time at 3.35pm I queued behind 2 other patients outside in the car park. when I got to the front of the queue I saw a sign on the door Knock to advise you are here. Obviously I couldn't see this from 6 metres away where I was socially distancing from other patients. I was greeted by a receptionist with an attitude problem who refused to help me as I was now 10 minutes late for my appointment. Very rude, so I will not be going back!
Excellent dentist. Hadn't been for a long time silly me... Staff on reception very helpful with registration process. Needed 3 fillings - Jessica Rodrigo Caro and assistant made me feel at ease and had me sorted within half an hour - highly recommend.
I was never frightened of the dentist until I started coming here! So violent that my teeth are now misaligned and I have a problem as saliva keeps spitting out. My teeth have always been tricky, but I’ve gone regularly to a dentist wherever I’ve lived and had them looked after. Here, injections were administered with no warning, ‘explanations’ with back turned, a level of impatience with growing nervousness. I don’t go here anymore and have switched to a lovely practice in Ashbourne. I’ve yet to find out if the damage done here can be undone.
