Not the most officiant of companies but expceptiinal customer service and management. Tj Hughes is Tj Hughes. The staff is what make the store in Bootle. Every member of staff seems to know their stuff despite having to work on multi departments due to staff cutbacks. Even the weekend staff who are a younger bunch know their departments very well and are always happy to come off their department to help you. In some ways I feel sorry for the staff as they are all always under pressure to deal with customers whilst doing their jobs. Tj's should have thought twice about cutting staff as sometimes when waiting to pay it's a 10 minute delay while staff rush over to serve. However Tj's falls short once again as on several occasions my selections have not scanned so have had to be searched for on the machine. This takes time so puts more pressure on the already overworked staff. This is by no means the managers fault however and they and the staff go above and beyond to help me with whatever. I'm talking carrying my purchases to a taxi for me, checking the back, putting me through to another store. No job is to big for both the weekday, weekend staff and managent. The staff all seem to get on though which really does lift the atmosphere of the shop there's a young a young girl when I go in of a Saturday with my sister always having a laugh but still working her socks off at the same time. When getting served on the till there's a young lad always smiling and making conversation and making you feel welcome. He's very good at maintaining customer service while serving you as quickly as possible. Nicely laid out which I'm sure is down to the very hands on managers, lovely cafe so big thumbs up to the staff in there and as mentioned lovely staff with exceptional customer service. Many staff weekday and weekend I'd say are heading for promotion with their service and work ethic Every staff member will go the extra mile. If only the big bosses in the head office would make it easier for staff to do their job. Keep up the good work Tj's Bootle!
