Strange to find a Canadian coffee chain in a tiny town in northern Ireland but here it is. Coffee was okay, but the best part was until 1130am you can get a hash brown and a breakfast sandwich or wrap for just £1 extra. Nice dining area to sit in for a bit to warm up and free WiFi for 1 hour.
Fresh tasting meat in the burger patty, unlike McDonalds which consistently tastes like cardboard. Jalapeño fries definitely worth the £1 extra, really saucy and fresh.
Good coffee, but overall quite pricey. The staff regularly close up much earlier than the posted hours, which can be pretty frustrating. Plus, there’s a lot of decorative gravel from the parking area scattered all over the nearby public sidewalk and even the crosswalk. No one seems to bother cleaning it up, not even once a month or even once a year. A bit of a safety hazard! Plus, something is definitely off with the air conditioning or ventilation—just a short visit leaves your clothes smelling strongly of grease, way more than at the nearby McDonald's, which is odd since there’s not even that much frying going on here, if any at all.
Today, I visited Tim Hortons in Cookstown, and it was a fantastic experience for me. I tried the French Vanilla coffee and Timbits, and the taste was absolutely fabulous. One of the most important things was the staff – they were well-trained and friendly. I met Ummara Farooq there; she was very friendly and motivated in her job. Overall, it was a very good experience.
They put gherkins in my burger when I told them not to, they didn't even give me a dip at first, until I asked and the woman up front begrudgingly gave me one and they also only put 2 pieces of chicken in my 3 piece. The workers were nasty, and I won't be coming here again
