Tiffin Rasoi is by far one my all time favourite takeaway options in Barry as quite frankly they never disappoint Now for those of you who don't know me I'm the face behind Wayne's Eats which is a very popular food blog on Facebook and Instagram which covers all of South Wales. I have lived in Barry all of my life and it's fair to say I've tried every Indian and takeaway option here but most importantly I've tried every single curry that Tiffin Rasoi has ever put on menu. The most amazing thing is that I can honestly say I've not disliked any of their curries which is unusual as normally from experience, there is at least some options that are not great but I cannot say this about Tiffin Rasoi. Everything is always cooked to perfection and just stacked with flavour, the proportion sizes are always very generous and delivery is always on time. My personal favourite curries would have to be the Goan Chicken, Railway Lamb, Highway Chicken, Beef Chettinaad and the Butter Chicken. Needless to say I highly recommend this place! Without a doubt the best Indian take away in the town. The food is always delivered piping hot and is of the best Quality. There are also varied menus, that cater for all dietary requirements. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten and Dairy free. On top of this there is an option for Indian Street food. Banging!!
I have tried every Indian Takeaway in Barry and Cardiff and this is my absolute favourite, always high quality and always tasty. I do like a milder dish and for me the The Old Dehli Butter is perfect as it is a mild dish but it does have a little spice too unlike other places I've tried that don't have any unique mild dishes. Can't recommend enough!
Had a delicious family take away to celebrate a big family birthday! Food arrived perfectly on time, order was correct and lovely & warm! Highly recommend tiffin, great food - best in Barry! Parking: Easy enough to collect your takeaway
We have been there three times and each time, the food has been excellent. The lamb curry was really good, the kathi rolls are immense, the coconut rice was very good. The food was hot. Good price. Deffo recommend!
Ordered from here as a friend recommended and it didn't disappoint! Had the Laal maas and the meat was so tender it fell apart. I like a lot of spice and it was perfect! I will definitely be ordering from here again! Delicious
I went to the takeaway to order and collect rather than home delivery. Other than the slightly unfriendly manner from the manager / owner who served me whoever was cashing up everything was spot on. In fact I would go as far as to say in the top 2 or 3 curries I’ve EVER had. The tandoori brocolli was a dream and the jackfruit biryani with madras sauce and peshwari nan was sooooo tasty. I would order for someone to deliver next time though as I don’t have much patience for unnecessary impoliteness! Spotlessly clean and lovely food though which is the main thing!! Vegetarian options: Amazing whole menu for vegans - tandoori brocolli was delicious!
After trying another tandoori mixed platter a couple of weeks ago and enjoying it,i had another one tonight and ive got to say it was absolutely disgusting. Some meat over cooked, some under. Chips and onion bhajis were like they were warmed up leftovers. Nothing wad as fresh as the lastime. Worst £24 ive spent. Never again
This is a bit of a late review having not bought anything from here for around 5 or 6 months. Waiting times can be a bit of a nightmare so if we're looking for a quicker takeaway we do tend to go elsewhere. We know to expect to wait over an hour in general though so when we do place an order, it's done early. The food is generally really nice. My most recent visit, despite the order not even being started when I got there to collect it, the food was amazing. I dont know what they did to their bhajis this time around but they were the best I have ever had. Occasionally their food can be a bit on the salty side but, overall, we do love the food from here and never buy our curries from anywhere else. The only reason we don't buy from here more often is due to the cost. Prices have gone up steeply over the last few years so what used to be a once or twice a month family takeaway is now down to once or twice a year as, for our family who all like different curries which becomes expensive, it is considerably cheaper to order Chinese etc now instead. It's still nice to see them doing well though and winning awards for their food which are definitely deserved. I know the in laws etc miss the curries too so hopefully we'll be ordering from here again in the future. Parking: Parking outside can be hit and miss. The side streets offer parking though too. Given the opening times there shouldn't be any issues but probably best to be mindful of resident permit zones when looking for a space.
Heard good things, tried it very disappointed. Chicken in the korma was very dry, everything from the sauce to the keema naan was cold. Mint dip the worst I have had sadly as was really looking forward to it.
