Always a lovely place to chill, chat and take in the views!  They sell everything from coffee & tea to sandwiches & cake, from ice lollies & cold drinks to beach toys & children's swimming costumes!  I love it here!  The staff are awesome too!

What a lovely spot overlooking the Thames estuary. Conveniently situated off the sea front promenade at the quiet western end of the beach.

I come here all the time and it is great. Dog friendly, wheelchair accessible and disabled loos adjacent. Does tea, coffee, bagels, ice cream, hot dogs.

I have been going to tides for about 3 years now ,and have always been very pleased with the customer service. However  over the last 4 months i have noticed a lot of changes with staff and i think this has drastically changed the whole feel of the cafe, i don't, know if it has been taken over by new people ,but if you want a hot drink after 3 o clock it's hard luck,it seems all they can offer is a tin of cold drink, i find this utterly pathetic especially as it's the holiday season, i think i will be looking for somewhere else to relax with a nice drink, were the customers are appreciated.

Ordered a bacon panini ate it gave some too my 2 dogs made myself and even the dogs have terrible diarrhoea after complaining to the lady with the glasses the next week she just shrugged her shoulders no apology nothing I have just found out from the cafe owner right opposite that none of tides cafe food is actually cooked fresh on the premises shame on them no wonder it made me so unwell !!

We love this cafe, go every weekend x the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly.  Highly recommend this lovely cafe when you next visit the seafront.  Vegetarian options: I’m not a vegetarian but I see opinions on the menu  Kid-friendliness: Has many choices for children and beach toys for them to buy  Wheelchair accessibility: My mum is in a wheelchair and we find it very easy to park up at the tables

Had a Cuppa and Fish n Chips from this little placeFrozen and smallish portions, but me thinks I'll stick to the Bacon Sarnies and alike next time. Staff were helpful, polite and the service was quick. Location is in the middle of Chalkwell beach so it's a bit breezy, but it's a sun trap in the summer. For a quick munch and a cuppa this little Cafe is a must and the next time I'm at Chalkwell I'll be going back.

The beach is great and not overly busy

Popped in today for a cuppa and ice-cream with my grandson, after a play on the beach. Went to  pay only to find I had left my purse in my work bag , the ladies there were amazing, saying not to worry about it and pay another time. We finished what we had and went straight home to get my purse  luckily we live quite local . What could have been a very embarrassing time, was turned around and put me straight at ease.  Thank you ladies, you have restored my faith in humanity.  Oh and they have fleecey blankets to borrow for sitting outside  not that we needed them today on a beautiful sunny February day . Brilliant idea xx
