Went here for dinner last night and it was amazing, could not fault it. The menu isn't that big but doesn't need to be when the food was all cook from scratch and fresh. There is a lovely little beer garden with the most amazing view. We shared a pint of prawns to start and the wild garlic mayo that came with it was delicious and made from the wild garlic in the owners ground. I had fish and chips with mushy peas and the fish was light and no grease in sight. The chips where home made triple cooked and nice and crispy and the mushy peas were not from a tin like most places. You could tell they were fresh.. Would recommend to anyone

The room we had booked was lovely it self but very basic necessities. Went into the pub for an evening meal after being out for the day in Bridport and got told they was not serving food due to a quiz going on this made me and my partner feel not welcomed as we was expecting they was serving food like they do show on their website and multiple booking websites so we had to travel back out through the lanes to get an evening meal. Then when we woke up we went back into the pub to have breakfast and it was nothing like expected. I had a full English with scrambled egg and the scrambled egg is greasy as well as the one slice of bacon. The male owner served us food then got his bags and went out expecting us to carry on and eat food. The cereal bar had no milk for the cereals as well as the little jam jars were pre used and all sticky around the top where you take off the lid suggesting that they re use the jars and just fill them up. The overall cleanliness was okay to a standard with cobwebs on the bedroom walls. The price for the drinks we had in the evening at the pub was way overpriced for two cokes we paid £5.20 which is very expensive for two small bottles of cokes. And for what we’ve paid for the room it’s over priced for the very basic necessities. We had to go out and get shampoo and conditioner and body wash which I was expecting the b&b would have.

Always a favourite. A small but excellent menu. The fig and pistachio tart was out of this world. Will keep coming back. Charm, excellent food, friendly service. What more can one ask for?
