A great place to relax with friends and chat on more serious matters too. A great setting for the wonderful menu, friendly staff and crowned by excellent food and a very pleasant house red from South Africa. We were not rushed with a well-timed break between courses

Enjoyed a Three Meat roast here today. Took the family for a late dinner after ringing ahead and spoke to Meg who assured us we could be served. The service was swift and friendly as usual. All of our food was excellent and the staff waited our table throughout our stay. Great real ale and decent wine were part of the experience. Also had the pie recently, the AK bitter is good £4 and the Cabernet Sauvignon at £20 ish

Friendly staff lovely food. Comfortable with a lovely open wood fire. Perfect for a cold wet day.
