A great club all round with fantastic facilities and a welcoming approach to those of all ages and abilities. I joined 18 months ago after a break away from sailing for 25 years and can say it has been a fantastic experience. If you want to get back into sailing from being away for a while I can highly recommend the club and in particular the Sandhopper open keel boats, they offer fantastic competitive racing and you can use them for cruising around the estuary!  They are the largest one design class of open keel boat on the Thames as TBYC has 30 of them afloat!

Up early thought ide have a little drive to Thorpe Bay,how peaceful watching the ships roll out,makes a change from lorrys and cars.

Had our first oppie club over the weekend. The kids had an amazing time. Can't wait to get back on the water.
