The food was exceptional. Considering it is a local pub, the standard of food was something you would expect to receive in a well established restaurant in the town centre. Service from the staff was excellent and the atmosphere was warming. Seeing families and friends happy, relaxed, and enjoying good food without a rowdy crowd ruining it. Definitely recommend
This pub has just been done up and it looks nice although a little bland. Could maybe use a few pictures on the walls or something to break it up. Doom Bar on draft and it was well kept and delicious. Barmaid was very friendly. They were just opening the restaurant the night we called but we weren't stopping so never tried the food. They have installed a large pizza oven so we will definately be back to try that. Hope it all works out.

Chaos, under new management. You shouldn't open your doors if staff training and procedures are not in place. We ordered, received no food for over an hour, when it came the standard was so bad we decided to leave. The management did not charge us for food or drinks.

I visited for the first time in 20 years and was very pleased with the restaurant and fun friendly atmosphere. Fantastic customer service and fabulous pizza. Me and my friend shared the Thornberries Special Pizza with chunky chips. Plenty for two people and was delicious and the bill was surprisingly reasonable. Definitely will visit again.
I think it was great!!!, Being in the grill place as a family get together for a buffet, I loved it. The chips were great and so were the chicken. Quite salty but I loved it all, especially the coke cola it was PERFECT! AND there was nothing wrong with any of it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The new Roebuck looks great andcthe menu is interesting, the halloumi skewer is some of the best veggie food I've hadFood: 5/5
Limited selection of drinks on tap & in the fridge. Food choices are pretty standard for this type of place see website, and hardly inspirational whilst being expensive. Atmosphere is generally subdued even though it's normally fairly busy. Too soulless to be a decent local, which is a shame as the area could do with one. Not one to bother with, unfortunately.
