I’m not a property developer but circumstances has led me to buying and selling a total of 8 properties since 1993 with other welll known agents. When Thomas Lardner came on the scene some 10 years ago, I always said I would use Thomas Lardner on my next venture after having appalling dealings with other known agents. However, I was fooled over and over by the other known agents and fell for their scandalous sales tactics and bullying. I was always lied to throughout the process and led a merry dance. Their methods of practice were astonishing and I’d given up hope on ALL agents. That’s when just recently I decided to finally use Thomas Lardner. My only regret is that I didn’t use them sooner. Never, ever, did I think I’d be writing a review like this about an estate agent. They were amazing every step of the way. The whole team at Lardners are second to none. Honest, reliable, supportive, encouraging, professional and do exactly what they set out to do..... sell your home and support you the whole way through, rather than worry about statistics and clawing you in then forgetting about you. I’d never use any other agent.

We have just sold a large (5 bed) house via the Agency. Another agency had failed completely to attract serious buyers for a year or so, so we moved to ThomasLardner, They found us a buyer, but sadly that deal fell through after we were a long way into buying our dream house down in Somerset. So we gulped, took stock and went ahead an bought in Somerset while renting our Romiley property through ThomasLardner. So we have worked with both the rental and sales side of ThomasLardner and its been brilliant. They are really supportive, have a good network of tradespeople so when problems on the rental side arose, they were solved quickly. When we came to sell again, they found us a buyer who rented while the deal went through. From our side it was all transparent. ThomasLardner handled everything, smoothly, efficiently and kept us fully informed. When we came to pay their fee, we did not begrudge them a penny and we have never said that about estate agent fees in any of our previous house moves.

Depends what you go in for. If it benefits them, they'll help, if you want help on a matter that doesn't, don't expect much.
