We’ve stayed at lost of hotels in London. But this hotel it’s the best one all the time. Before COVID was also good, but now this year we’ve turned again to them and it’s perfect. The rooms are very clean, the staff is super friendly, the food it’s perfect . I’ll not choose for another hotel every time we’ll come to London. I really feel like home. It’s perfect for families with kids because it’s very quiet. We’ll come back Valentino & Luciana
For me personally this hotel here was overrated. From the first glance it looks nice however there are no hooks or something to put your stuff both in the bathroom and room. And you can’t just seat and wash your legs after the long day on foots. There is coffee machine inside but no capsules for it. At least there is a kettle and paid snacks. Minibar also was. There was no air conditioning and usually in the room gets or too cold or too hot. Breakfast was poor pastry, coffee and sandwiches but its price was included in the room price, thus I was compelled to buy additional omelet or English breakfast to it. The staff was friendly and WiFi available No adapters to the British sockets - huge pain for business travelers
We arrived early. Manager was super lovely, informing us, they were not quite ready. Sandwiches lovely, and selection of cakes nice. Quiet spot, in Bermondsey, reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyedService: 5/5
Really didn't enjoy my stay due to the room having a connecting door to someone else's room, the other room were just talking normally but you could hear everything they said, was very frustrating trying to sleep so won't be going back there, but maybe other rooms are better and I just got unlucky. Service was good, staff were friendly, I arrived late and they said I could order food from deliveroo and they'd call my room when it arrived if I wanted, breakfast was nice. Wasn't a fan of what I ate but that was a personal preference rather than the food itself as I had eggs, just found the spinach a bit watery so left most of that but grabbed a croissant.
We have previously stayed here several times, but this time we treated ourselves to a 'Terrace Room'. Sadly the poor weather meant we didn't get much use of the terrace, however we thought the room was nicer than on our previous stays and we were happy with the room on those stays. There seemed to be some neater touches with the furniture, plus better TV, and larger bed? I also like the fact that they now provide an in-room Nespresso machine with capsules, plus complimentary water, orange juice, crisps, biscuits as well as the usual tea-making facilities. The staff are always lovely, and the location is just perfect. Every time we leave we wonder how soon we'll be able to return. Friends of our stayed at the Hoxton, which is a wonderful hotel, but believe it or not, we prefer this one... because it offers all you NEED plus the location is far better The Hoxton is lovely, but doesn't have Bermondsey Street, or anything similar, within a short walk
A great hotel in a great location. Staff extremely helpful and fantastic breakfast. Bed very comfy too.Rooms: 4/5
The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything your neighbors say and do. Mine started playing music and started chatting at 4am. Room cleaning starts at 8am too, so you hear all of that banging around too. The lights in my room stopped working, I had to alert them many times before they bothered fixing them. The AC/heating is super loud. The layout of the room isn't great, pretty awkward to get around. The check in staff and cleaning staff were nice, but the breakfast staff were rude and unintelligible. Honestly, I've had better experiences at a motel.
I’ve stayed here twice now. The guy who served us on the counter never smiled and seems disinterested. We were then told we had to pay £25 in case we damaged the room. We have never been asked for this anywhere else. When asking for it to be refunded on checking out my wife was told it would take 4 days and was then asked to tip £6 for house keeping, she was told that it would come out of the the £25 then saw she was charged £6 more for this. Not sure why we have to pay £6 when paying £200 for one night. It was nice but I’ve stayed at nicer places for less. Overall it left a bad taste in out mouths and we won’t be back again
Very cosy place and with friendly staff. Great location in trendy Bermondsey. Very nice breakfast. Just wish they had safe in room.Rooms: 4/5
First off I am doing a review mid stay. I am very pleased with the staff. The receptionist is very friendly and every one is very helpful. Other reviews blasted the construction going on but it doesn't bother me. If anything it shows that they keep improving the product. Once I figured out how everything worked, I was good to go. I love that there is a market next door. I would definitely stay here again.
