Starting off with negatives - I’ve been here a few times now and on arrival the staff aren’t very welcoming. Considering they’ll know you’ll already be feeling nervous, they don’t try and put you at ease, they cause more anxiety by speaking to you in an abrupt manner. I understand they have to be professional but it feels like you’re in a police station for questioning which like I said causes so much more added anxiety. Ending with a positive - I have nothing but praise for one staff member in particular which is Andy. He’s an absolute credit to you all! Andy sat in with me as I have to be in a separate room due to medical reasons. He was so supportive and really made me feel at ease. He calmed my anxiety and I honestly think he’s the reason I was so close to passing! 2 points out! Fingers crossed next time I’ll pass!! Thank you so much again Andy for being supportive and for also calming my anxiety - don’t ever change, you’re a great guy! Xx
When you come for the test, there isn't have enough parking. Try to use public transport or taxi. There have so many traffic lights may delay you. You must arrive 15 min before the exam time. Keep more enough time time to transport more than you expect. Only need your provisional driving licence. Don't bring anything. If you bring anything wallet, mobile phone, watch etc they will give a small locker to keep them safe. All the best for exam..!!!
Alright, let’s sprinkle a little humor into this review and complaint: Well, where do I even begin? Yes, I passed, but the experience was so dreadful that I felt compelled to share my woeful tale. The moment I arrived, it felt like my first day at Walton Jail. Seriously, I had a woman barking at me, “Put all your stuff inside the locker, phone and everything!” Not even a hint of a “good morning” to soften the blow. Then, at the reception, I encountered a man in glasses who was equally delightful. I told him I’d had better experiences at Walton Jail and that their customer service skills could use a major overhaul. He seemed unfazed, as if rudeness was a badge of honor. Let’s not forget the young woman who clearly missed her calling in customer service. Judging by the comments and reviews, I’m not alone in this nightmare. Please, for the sake of all future customers, report her to the DVLA!
What happened? What Menon happen with me? Same thing similar 1 star because of a very rude lady what glasses at the front desk where they check you in. Unfortunate that you already come in stressed and then you have to face these folks who got something going on in their lives and project that towards you. Rocked me on the first couple of minutes in my test but I soon snapped back as I didn’t want to spoil my day just cause it started off with a rude and condescending lady like herself! But seriously- if you can’t do your job with grace, best not to and ruin things for others too. She had an attitude as though she was above all. I saw her behaving worse to another man who sat next to me too! I wonder if she is just racist!? Another thing looked the picture. I’m not saying anything.
Facilities were fine - clean, easy to locate and close to the train station, but the staff were the worst I’ve ever encountered. Treated me like an idiot, were disrespectful to others one member rolled her eyes at another patron and extremely patronising.
The driving theory center needs significant improvement in staff training, particularly in showing empathy and providing a welcoming environment. Some staff members speak to visitors in a disrespectful manner, lacking the nurturing attitude necessary for a supportive learning experience. It's crucial for this center to recognize that many individuals have additional needs or are neurodiverse, and a more inclusive and understanding approach is essential.
Just attended my first driving theory test at this centre and passed it. It was a good place in terms of the location, easy to get there by public bus. The staffs are nice and friendly, not to mention the exam environment which is pretty much conducive.
Nice and friendly staff. Though you’re not allowed to wait at the reception no matter the weather condition outside which I find quite funny. A tall lady directed us to put things in locker. She’s very helpful. Plus a dark skinned lady at the box before the exam room was so pleasant. She’s really a nerve calmer. She spoke so gracefully. Not a bad centre at all.
Was a bit weary after reading previous reviews but I must say the staff were absolutely brilliant. They put me at ease and were really helpful. Thank you all for making me feel relaxed.
Been in a couple of times and the staff are amazing on the front desk always give you a quick chat carm your nerves down and always smile and cracking jokes.
