The beef wellington & the lemon meringue pie are a must! Service was excellent & friendly. Over & above what would be required of a waiter/waitress. From the greeting we received at the hotel entrance; To the bar, where we stopped for drink prior to booking - being a superb Bloody Mary; To within the Theo Randall restaurant itself, all staff we had an interaction with, in our humble opinion, were superb and a credit to the brand.
Nice meal at this Italian restaurant - the bruschetta was well prepared and the calamari starter was good. The lemon tart had just the right level of tartness and the friendly staff were good enough to add some raspberry on the side. All in, a pleasant mealFood: 4/5
We had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday yesterday at Theo Randall Restaurant, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the service was impeccable, and the food was great!!. A special shout-out to Ms. Fernanda from Brazil, who made our evening truly special. Her service was exceptional—she was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every course was perfectly timed and carefully presented, from the starters to the final dessert. Fernanda is truly the gem of this restaurant! The Beef Wellington was a standout dish—cooked to perfection with tender, juicy meat wrapped in a beautifully crisp pastry. It was delicious and the highlight of the meal! The restaurant also offers an excellent value with unlimited alcoholic drinks, which pair perfectly with each course. The variety of desserts was equally impressive and a sweet way to end the evening. I highly recommend Theo Randall for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience! Thank you to Ms. Fernanda and all the wonderful staff for making my birthday celebration so memorable!!! Your exceptional service truly set the night apart, and I’ll be sure to return soon!
We had an amazing time celebrating our 10 years anniversary here! Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great too, Peter was serving us and he was an absolute gem. They were so welcoming and atmosphere was great. We highly recommend Lamb rump, pasta filled with duck, tunna tartar and Panna Cotta. They were so nice and they treated us with a free desert for our anniversary. Thank you guys
We chose this place for our anniversary meal as long time fans of Theo Randall and it was out of this world. The attention to detail was amazing and every course a delight. We enjoyed the expert advice of the sommelier when choosing out wine and he did an excellent negroni too. Food wise we had a four course meal my tuna tartare and my secondi of guinea fowl were my highlights, our waiter was brilliant too and had our desserts presented with a "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on the plates which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend visiting especially if you appreciate quality italian food thank you so much for making our night special we hope to return some day
Came here for dinner—service was great but food was underwhelming. For pastas, the Cappelletti di anatra duck was okay but the Tagliatelle zucchini e gamberetti prawns tasted like a Lean Cuisine pasta. The Orata al forno sea bream lacked flavor. Cocktails were good. Our server Sebastian was great—friendly and attentive. He suggested a local gin Monkey 47 for me to try and I loved it!
Service was fantastic and food matched. Cocktails and negroni selection excelled, with unexpected flavour details. Of course it's not a cheap experience but it feels high-end and worthy of a celebration meal. The only potential negative would be sitting next to a party table, but that can't be helped and the waiter did a great job of controlling them.
Incredible Weekend brunch with a starters buffet table and mains served to the table finishing with a sharing dessert platter. Bottomless options with prosecco and wine included. The gamberetti prawns and arancini were perfectly crisp, huge variety of salads catering for vegan and vegetarians. They adapted the menu and provided a halal option of chicken for main. Staff were wonderful. Highly recommend
The cheese soufflé was the best I’ve ever had. The Scottish lamb was amazing too. Great service from the head waiter and sommelier: thanks for the beautiful wine suggestions! We had a great night and are planning going back soon again."Food: 5/5
We came here for my wife’s birthday dinner, and party because I wanted to try the chefs food for quite a while, as I’d been many yrs ago when he and Jamie Oliver were cooking in river cafe, so my expectations were quite high, I did think ‘Theo’s restaurant’ had a star… I later understood why not…. My wife is Italian so knows her stuff & im an x chef, to be honest the food was a bit of an anti-climax, Michelin prices for Osteria style food. The service was very attentive and good, and the decor definitely needed a refurbishment, and music/band playing 1970’s music was a bit dated & loud. We had pre-drinks in the bar area and could here music quite loud at times when we were speaking/reading menu, There was a couple on this particular night one singing one on an instrument/guitar a bit 1970s we thought . which was my first clue of expectations dwindling, we were showed to table and could choose which one we wanted, the restaurant only had 2 other tables at that time, 6 the whole evening so about 20 coustomers possibly that Thursday night ‍ then we noticed the furniture in the booth that we were sitting in had some marks on it and could possibly could have been reupholstered, another clue to evening ahead…. Anyway, we ordered the food, The wife went for the cheese soufflé, which was quite heavy & not to her liking left 1/2 I had tuna tartare which was nothing mind blowing and dated garnish. Pasta course I went for the seafood pasta. The pasta was definitely not al dente or to my wife’s liking. My wife had the cappelletti we thought it was going to be like hermother’s soup, it wasn’t , wife disappointed…. My main of Guinea fowl which staff recommended looked like mother in law had cooked at home nothing mind blowing or special and a little dry….. However, the dessert was a nice touch with a happy birthday message…. Then obviously the battle came to our surprise approximately £100 per head considering my wife doesn’t drink alcohol that was quite high….. Overall, slightly disappointed… and won’t b returning…. My wife’s Italian clothes company I don’t think would either sadly….
