This is our third visit to watch a show. We live in West Cumbria so have to travel to get to a theatre so we have choices, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester etc.... We have chosen Glasgow three times on the trot. It's an easy journey, the theatre reception area is modern yet retains it's character and the theatre stage itself is moderised yet has kept the charm, beauty and character. The seats are comfortable and the facilities are good too. The staff are very helpful and polite to resolve any issues. Well worth a visit.
We were in the upper circle. I'm only 5'10 with short legs and it was quite uncomfortable in the front A row.nAcoustics are good and a great view into the pit.. just wish wed had roomier seats.nYes I know they were marked as restricted seats..
Shows out here are always a treat to experience and it's absolutely amazing. I recently watched Hamilton musical and it was worth every penny!nIn time, I hope they change the seats though as they can get quite uncomfortable for the longer shows hence the 4 stars instead of 5. This is just a minor feedback and should definitely not discourage anyone from visiting to watch the shows. It's overall lovely. Thanks.
Went to see Hamilton with my little sister and we were both amazed with this lovely venue very accessible there is a lift if you need one and there are toilets and a bar that sells alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages on all seating levels. We were offered a small tub ice-cream at intermission which my sister enjoyed.
It's a pity the architect did not trade space in the entrance/stairs for the auditorium as you it feels a bit small.nBalcony seats are very uncomfortable.nCloakroom- especially the small ones with locks could be better advertised.nExit is fast.nParking in Cambridge Rd is easy.
