Charming theatre. Upper circle seats, however, are a bit tight to get your knees in if you are tall. Steep staircase to upper circle. Overall good though.
Sat at the very top/back, couldn't see the back off the stage projections, etc... The light by the stairs was super bright and annoying you'd think they'd dim it during the show and the audience couldn't be quiet even during the soft music playing and none of the staff did anything about it. Now, when I took my phone out to take a sneaky snap of the show for the memories, with screen fully dimmed and no body sitting behind me to annoy last row for real - they were on to me in a flash.
I went tonight to see the Tina Turner musical. Unfortunately there was a medical emergency halfway through the first act. The ushers did not take heed swiftly enough to help the sick individual. There should be medical/emergency training for staff. They all just seem bewildered. The temperature in the theater was sweltering. Many were fanning themselves and feeling uncomfortable the entire show, which probably attributed to that person‘s illness. At intermission, I ended up buying a icee just to cool down.nDue to the positioning of the seats, I had no view of the stage. I had to constantly move my head back-and-forth to allow visibility. The person’s head directly in front of me completely obstructed my vision. It was a chilly night outside, and everyone had heavy coats, leaving me surrounded on all sides by my neighbors fluffy jackets hoarding in on my space. Hard seat as well. I would definitely go back, but be mentally prepared. Anyone that is claustrophobic needs to avoid going or at least just purchase the pricier tickets on the main floor directly in front of stage.
Our first time here and we will be back. My grandson paid for the diamond lounge option. Well worth the money. Our staff member, Gary, was excellent. Explained everything we needed to know. Having access to the Ambassador Lounge was fantastic. If you have the opportunity to have this option, I would highly recommend it. The only downside to the visit was the legroom in row A of the balcony. The seats and view are great, but the legroom is very limited. I have arthritis in both knees and had difficulty finding a comfortable seating position. That said, we will be back again at some time in the future.
Beautiful iconic building and the staff are always lovely and helpful. But the venue can be stuffy and hot. Especially during the warm days and that does make me feel very uncomfortable sat so close to strangers trying to respectfully distance myself as much as possible from their added body heat
