I went here today for my Sunday lunch with family the food came very quickly and was delicious! Couldn't finish the plate as there was a very good portion! Will defiantly be coming again

My son booked a table at the Whitehouse pub today for Mothers Day. We arrived at 2.10pm for our table which was reserved for 2.30pm. Went to the bar and ordered drinks and sat in the lounge and told that our table would be a little late because they were quite busy. We said that we didn't mind because that was understandable and so we waited, and waited, and waited. We were then told that there was no room in the dining area so did we mind having our meal in the lounge. We said that we didn't. My 2 year old grandson was being really good about all this but was extremely hungry and asking for a yorkshire pudding so i went to the bar and asked if it would be a problem if they would let him have one to keep him quiet. They said no problem. So we waited, and waited and waited, still nothing not even an apology for running late, it was 3.50pm by this time So I went into the dining room and said in a very civil manner that we were leaving because we at this time,were sick of waiting. I was told not to talk to her in that tone of voice,and then this young upstart told me that it wouldn't have happened if we weren't late, I wonder what time you have to get there for a 2.30pm booking, the day before! I will never again set foot in that pub for as long as I live because the staff just haven't got a clue how to run an eating establishment and if You were thinking about going out for Sunday lunch on Mothers day there are far better places than this and I can also think of a better name for this pub but I will leave that up to your imagination!
