I visited around lunch time and was greeted in an un polite manner. Me and my friend were looked up and down by a woman who seemed to be the manager as soon as we walked in and were asked for id we are clearly over 18 I didn’t see the need for id as we were only there for food and didn’t even request alcohol. We ordered the lasagna and sausage and mash. Food was APPALLING. As seen in the picture this was how it was presented when it was brought over to the table. Absolutely disgusting. I did not get a picture of the sausage and mash but the mash looked as though it was microwaved and they made no effort when just putting it on the plate. It was a hard lump. The sausages were burnt on the outside and still half raw on the inside. This was my first visit here and will most definitely be my last. The whole experience was very disappointing. I do not recommend and would not advise anyone to go!
Today review 3 stars Ordered sirloin steak well done , no blood . Rump steak came and it was cremated. They forgot my onion rings I had to ask for them . They did apologise. It wasn’t busy so they can’t use that as an excuse. Pudding were plentiful I couldn’t eat it all. Going to try another local next time. Shame !! 6 months ago this was my review 4 stars The food was good and plentiful.puddings good portions. . Service good and staff polite. Good price . The only thing that stopped the 5 star was the ladies toilets . Toilet seat was coming off. Needs a deep clean and TLC . Yes definitely go back.
We had a very nice, large table by the window there was a party of us. I shared a pizza. Very nice and very large - good job we decided to share, because the two of us couldn't finish it off. Service very good. Only complaint was the music was a bit loud even though we were furthest away from the speakers.
Great pub on the edge of Wokstanton/Porthill. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Large car park. Lovey views over the Marsh. Recommended.
Nice local place for a pint or coffee. Have had food there occasionally and found it to be pleasant enough. It's pub chain food but affordable and decent. Some seating is a bit more private if you want to talk. Wednesday night a quiet evening at the moment. Some evenings close at 10 pm. Friday night has free raffle for beer prize. Car park well lit and spacious.
The food was great highly recommended here for food, I had the belly pork sizzler the only thing I didn't like on it was the courgette but even with the courgette it was a great dish. The chocolate fudge cake just wow. Very moreish. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were friendly.
Just visited The Wulstan with my family for a birthday lunch with my dad... Like most of us money is tight but still we all deserve a little treat now & again. We were so blown over by the hospitality of the staff at The Wulstan, above & beyond, to make sure our afternoon was enjoyable... happily catered to all our different 'requirements' with a smile... it genuinely was really appreciated... And the food, well it was lovely too, did not over stretch the purse strings was good value for money... Thanks to all for making our visit such a happy & enjoyable one
Went to the Wulstan after looking at their menu on-line. Says Sunday lunches, don't do them, asked for sirloin steak, only got rump. No chicken, but eventually found something from the menu. When the food arrived, it was tasty, hot and plentiful. I was told by the staff that they have had a busy Saturday football world cup. Would I eat or visit again, I doubt it.
Just went in to have food with my mates on a college break. Got told to leave because we are under 18. Have had no issue before in any other sizzling pubs as we do this weekly. The website says minimum is 16 but the manager explained otherwise. I would like to know where she got her information from.
Tasty very reasonably priced meal. Service a bit slow but it was busy so it was understandable. One waiting staff, the young lad was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
