Very poor customer service, non attentive staff who will quite happily ignore you while you wait at the checkout, this is not a criticism of the Works but of the staff who were "working" there.
Some really good bargains as usual but the service was very poor. We visited a few weeks ago. Me and my wife stood for a good 4-5 minutes waiting to be served as two members of staff chatted away. A third member of staff who was obviously taking the brunt of the work had to tell the other two chatting that there were customers waiting. The lad that served us wasn't pleasant at all. Seemed irritated he had to cut his chitchat short. No manners at all. Served us and straight away went back to chatting with the other worker. I feel sorry for the third woman having to pick up the slack of the other two.
Love going in here, always clean and the staff always know where to guide you to find what you're looking for. Always well stocked. It's always nice to see a smiling face
Love this store great prices and friendly and helpful staff always pointing me in the direction of alternatives, directed me to some great buys!
If I could give this place less than one star I would. This place is absolutely disgusting. One certain staff member named Jackie racially profiled a black, clearly autistic, man. She called the police on him accusing him of theft despite him expressing absolutely zero suspicious behaviour. He was clearly special needs and it took him longer to complete tasks - anyone experienced would be able to see that - but rather than taking into account the way he was acting as clear special needs she decided to racially profile him and accuse him of theft. the police cornered and kept questioning the poor man. If Jackie isn’t capable of being able to treat everyone equally and the patience to deal with special needs customers she should not be employed at all. I didn’t even see any of their other staff members helping him. Definitely will not be returning knowing the staff are racist and are too pathetic to treat someone with basic human decency.
Looks of puzzles and games and craft stuff at a very reasonable price. Located on 1st floor.
Great place, I got my products all under one roof. We loved the variety of DIY crafts available, Fiction Books,Baking Books, Light boxes and a lot more.
The works is the right place to shop for books and craft products, wether for yourself or your little ones. DIY products available there are of good quality. Its worth the money.
Amazing customer service, and very helpful staff Thankyou for the help
A lot of things to discover though you may have to look through a lot of stuff to find it. Also great Arts and craft supplies and many discount books
