Excellent soft play zone adjacent to tables. Nice food. Unfortunately it was busy when we visited so the service was very slow.

Where do I start?! We stood for five minutes waiting to ask someone as to seating plan( we was unhooked) we asked if a specific table was available to accommodate all 8 of us, it was bit it had not been cleaned or cleared, no problem we took care of that as it was a little busy, a couple minutes later we was asked if are part was booked under 'lucy' no it wasnt and we was asked to move, easy mistake I suppose,we moved and had to clear another table so we was able to sit down, fantastic we made an order OK including a snack/starter to eat whilst waiting, the starter never showed up,our food arrived, the roasts looked like they was a kids meal, some things you expect with a roast were missing, no stuffing, no carrots etc I was very displeased,we overheard them asking the group on the next table to move tables or leave which I think was disgraceful, the playframe was a toddler sized frame nothing to which we was expect Kng. We would not use them again. We had to ask for salt, and sauces, the salt and the salt he gave us was almost runs

So much better since they separated the family dinning from the more mature diners. Good food and good atmosphere.

Large country inn near Barkway with mixture of seating/dining areas ranging from cosy bar with log fire to large open area suitable for families. Good range of beers on draught and good freshly cooked food, including pizzas. Sizeable car park. WiFi.

The Woodman Inn were excellent during the planning and service when we held our son's 5th birthday party in their garden. The children had plenty of space to run around even with a large inflatable in the garden. They could keep out of the sun whilst eating and drinking with tables under the marquee and also enjoyed the playground area. Staff were very attentive, they catered excellently for the children and equally so for the adults. Their food is absolutely excellent! A true family pub and a hidden gem!
