Lovely campsite on the edge of a very nice quaint little town. Very friendly locals that we spoke to. The site is very clean and well kept. Not very level camping area for motorhomes or caravans but a pair of ramps sorted that out enough to not cause any problems. Loved the showers but maybe that's just me. Bit of a rough trek into town on the bridle path at top of the site, much easier to drive. All in all spent 3 very pleasant nights here.
What a great campsite. So glad we found it. Beautifully kept, impeccably clean facilities and a very warm welcome from Claire and Carol. Footpath to Wenlock Edge and many more footpaths that we will explore when we return. Also a footpath to Much Wenlock. Great meadow to excersise you dog. Simply Perfect Thanks Ladies
Probabley one of the best rural, back to wilderness campsites left in the UK, ,Claire and carol absoulutley the best, can never do enough to keep the gueats happy and help them out as said very basic 2 showers heated by gas, and 4 portacabins as toilets 2 male and 2 female but always spotless as the girls pass through the campsite at least 3 times a day to clean, firepits and wood available on site hot running water for the washing up zone and washbasins with mirrors for shaving and washing, all in all very quiet as maximum of 20 and something pitches allowed, dont forget to take carrots with you to feed the horses and ponys in the next door neighbours field,and a secret Trouper the girls cocker spaniel who is always tied up to stop him stealing food from the campers is more than partial to a carrot......
Small, simple site in a field on the slopes of Wenlock edge. Very convenient for walks along the edge. The whole site has a slight slope down towards the road. Open site with wide view of starlit sky if you are lucky. No electricity and chemical toilets only. The showers were good. The B road that borders the bottom edge of the site is sometimes noisy. The owners were friendly and helpful. We were disturbed by a couple of groups of weekend campers staying up late and letting their children scream and shout. Dog friendly. Fire pits. Handy for Much Wenlock pubs and shops. Really great location for enjoying Shropshire. Pity about the weekenders.
This was the first time I had been camping in almost 20 years so decided to find somewhere not too far and small. This campsite is really lovely and nice for couples too. The no noise by 11 really helps especially if you want a quiet weekend away. The facilities were very clean and the campsite owners approachable and friendly. Will definitely come again.
Lovely family-friendly campsite situated near village with views of Shropshire countryside. There are lots of nice touches such as chalk boards personally welcoming guests to the site, recycling facilities and free den building equipment for children. The campsite is off grid so there are portable toilets kept very clean and not much hot water so I would take a kettle next time to get some washing water. Playing of music is not permitted and this made the site quiet and peaceful even on a busy summer weekend. Possibly the site would benefit from a couple more toilets and sinks as there were queues at high demand times. Excellent value for money.
Lovely place to stay. Friendly owners, Carol and Claire were so welcoming right from we arrived. Always checking that we had everything we needed. The campsite is small but just as we wanted it to be. Clean all the time. I really liked that this site is environmently friendly. Everyone is encouraged to recycle, the showers are lovely and hot and the toilets are porta loos but the cleanest I've ever seen. Pit fires/BBQs are allowed which many sites are stopping. Very dog friendly and lots of children playing freely in the fields making new friends and memories. Thank you so much to Carol and Claire for such relaxing week at your campsite. This is a small campsite with very little facilities, set in beautiful surroundings. The 2 ladies chemical toilets are immaculate and 2 showers warm and clean. The majority of the site is on a slope which is always an issue. Music playing is not encouraged and those playing loud or unsuitable music are quickly spoken to. We did have a couple of incidents with dog pooh left lying around. The kids had plenty of room to play and the nearby village has ample shops and eateries. The site is well maintained and the owners are very welcoming.
We like basic accommodation, the showers were very different though the top of the planked wooden room with a roof on had the top foot open to the sun or or stars and nobody could see you but you got a sense of freedom. Two really nice ladies running it. the campsite was clean and tidy the nearby town was very interesting lots of little shops just ten minutes walk through a bridle path next to a forest and dog friendly. thank for are two day stay
Great campsite, wonderful people and facilities are fantastic. Surrounded by wonderful landscapes great for walking and exploring. Would definitely recommend.
