Friday evening dinner. Overall a disappointment although some food was good, fish and chips, but still-frozen bread and butter pudding less so. Decor and atmosphere lacking. Service felt perfunctory.

I tried to make a reservation for 2 nights at the weekend. I asked if they could welcome us arriving at midnight on the Friday, but they said no, check in closes at 10pm. I asked if they might make an exception and be flexible but I was told no. Underwhelming in my opinion.

Understand the white swan is under new management in the last few months so decided to give it a try. Friday night fish and chips deal really good but full menu looked good also. Very attentive staff. Offers on other nights  such as Saturday  night steak offers. Will be trying the Sunday lunch next.

Top chef and the owner, serving fresh food that tastes as it should. Worth a visit.

Lovely little pub and much quieter than it deserves to be. Stopped by for Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. Nothing particularly fancy but good high quality food for reasonable prices, unfortunately couldn't sample the range of beers as I had to drive so will have to save that for another time
