I’ve been here for drinks several times but this was my first dining experience and have to say I was underwhelmed at best. The roasts are visually excellent but when you dig in you get the impression that you need to eat at 12-2 for the meat to be fresh. We had the toughest slices of sirloin that were unpleasant, and the potatoes were cold. The veg was great and tasty gravy but average service despite not being that busy. It’s a nice place and I would probably give it a second go but the £20 roast was certainly not worth it, would advise avoiding roasts
Had a fabulous Sunday lunch! The food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. We were seated early when a table became available. Our waiter Grace was so brilliant - attentive and went out of her way to ensure we had absolutely everything we needed! Superb - definitely going back!
We used the White Swan on Thursday for a hurriedly arranged birthday gathering. The staff found us a private area by the bar which was perfect. We decided to order some table food but also had access to the dining menu. The food came quickly and was a superb standard. The highlight of our experience was the service offered by a lad named James. He was polite, courteous, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Quite simply some of the best service we have experienced anywhere. Many thanks and will definitely visit again.
We’ve been a quite few times now for different occasions, including the my friends baby shower and a Birthday. The service is always 10/10, the staff are professional and accommodating. Food is fabulous and the environment is lovely too. I will continue to recommend this pub to friends/family. Love going back! See you soon!!
Went for Sunday dinner. Polite friendly staff, good looking menu, good beer. The food looked good, big portions but the chicken was over cooked and dry, the Yorkshire was very cold in the middle and the rest of the meal was luke warm. It was towards the end of the day ‍
