I've been here countless times over the years but more recently with several large lunch groups 15-20 from work. Each time all staff have been brilliant and the food is of a good quality, although there are only a small number of vegan options.
The Plough in Harborne is a fantastic spot with a vibrant atmosphere and a welcoming vibe that instantly makes you feel at ease. The décor is stylish yet cozy, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal or drinks with friends.nnThe food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. From hearty mains to tempting small plates, there’s something for everyone on the menu. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.nnThe only drawback is that it’s a bit on the pricey side, which might make it more of a treat than a regular go-to. However, given the quality of the food and the atmosphere, it’s worth it for a special occasion or indulgent outing.nnOverall, a great choice for good food and a great vibe in Harborne!
Not been here in many many years and totally impressed with its makeover - it’s now a really upmarket, great venue for drinking/dining.nLocation not great if you’re driving as parking nearby is poor and service wasn’t great but they were busy. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would definitely return
I had a wonderful meal at the Plough on a Sunday evening.nnWent for a roast... However by the time I ordered there was none left! So make sure you're earlier if you want to avoid disappointment in that respect.nnThe chicken burger I had instead was absolutely divine though! So I can't complain at all about the quality of food and service.nnThere was Also a very well prepared quiz taking place at about 7pm which made the evening even more enjoyable!nnWill definitely be returning.
Friendly welcome and speedy service. Atmosphere was good, chilled but place was busy.nPigs and blankets ans garlic bread with mozzarella were both brilliant!nChorizo and ham pizza, to be honest was average has been years since I was last there.nCuban sandwich with with turkey brie / cranberry, was also average. The toasted bread was very firm and the fillings lacked much flavour, too much cheese and not enough meat.nThe dipping sauce was spicy and really tasty.nYou do pay a premium, it was expensive for what it was.nNot sure if return in a hurry.
