Nice hotel with bar and restaurant. Our room was small but adequate for the one night we stayed. We found the bed to bed too soft for us and the room was too hot, however we did stay on one of the hottest days of the year, there was a fan supplied in the room which we made use of. The bathroom was really small with a very tight gap down the side of the shower to get to the sink. The hotel is just a few minutes off the A34 and was an ideal stop off for us on our way down to Southampton. If you are in the area I would recommend the food in the pub. There is a small selection in the menu however the food was hot, fresh and very tasty!
I visited the white hart today with my mum. We chose a light lunch or calamari with a sweet chilli dip and salad and a side dish of chips. Service was quick and friendly. Pricing was very reasonable. Lovely location in the centre of the town. Nice interior. Would recommend and will revisit again. Nearby activities: The silk mill, Bombay gin distillery few miles up the road Safety: This hotel / pub / restaurant is set in a quiet small town. Centre surrounded my little shops and cafes. I would it was very safe.
Excellent little stop over in the perfect location for a visit to the Bombay Distillery. Bus stop outside & 10 min ride to distillery. Returned for an excellent dinner & a few beers by the open fire. Great & friendly service from all the staff & great value for money clean accommodation.
Lovely staff good food and clean rooms, the rooms just need updating to get 5 stars but a central position and was fine for 1 night.Rooms: 3/5
Good value rooms , excellent staff and service, also the food is very good here too . Sunday roast in particular. Would stay again Rooms: 4/5
Well stocked bar, great food lovely people. Good night's sleep. & a short bus ride to Bombay Sapphire distillery.Rooms: 4/5
Very pleasant stay. Great room rate & a La carte breakfast menu that doesn’t break the bank.
We like the White Hart. At first glance it's just a normal small town hotel, but the staff are very friendly and the food is a whole lot better than you would expect. Proper chips and you can get a small, but well cooked rump steak for £8.95 December 2017. If only the wine and beer selections were a bit more imaginative. Best of all the staff are happy for us to hold business meetings there and stay all day without any hassle and with beer and coffee whenever we need it. They cater for bigger meetings too. Steak is £15 now. 2023. Still good though
Stopped off for lunch. Good food, cooked well and hot. Staff were efficient and pleasant.Service: 5/5
Lovely hotel with great food and beers. The place dates back centuries although recent redecorating has disguised some of this. Great service and good food at a price in keeping with the surroundings.Service: 5/5
