4 of us had the fish platter... excellent. Good choice of good beers too. We will visit again soon.

Stayed here for one night, price was reasonable for a double room with toilet and shower, all was clean and tidy, plenty of tea and coffee supplied in the room, as the premises are very close to the railway station the only problem was the trains were running well into the night, if you are sufficiently drunk or in a coma this would not be a problem.
The "full English breakfast" is a cracker, well worth the money, staff are friendly and helpful, would we stay here again, yes without a doubt.
Top tip, if you are sleeping away from home, always take your own pillow.

Four of us visited last night on the spur of the moment. Food ok, ambience was poor, with two patrons talking very loudly on mobiles all through our meal. Mentioned it to staff when asked how everything was, but they were nonplussed - a shame.

Prices quite reasonable. Staff very friendly but seemed a bit disorganised. Starter, pea and ham soup, excellent. Main course, ribeye steak, ordered medium to well, came up Well to cremated! No steak knife offered made it quite difficult to eat. A bit disappointed.
