Selection is quite good though steep prices reflect it's central tourist location. Customer service was lacking entirely. Certainly different to the website promise of 'bringing out the fun and excitement of enjoying whisky'. To do that would surely involve speaking to the customer? Perhaps they were just having a bad day. Slàinte.

Very good selection of both affordable and collectable whisky. Some prices dearer and some cheaper than other shops I use locally so do your research before. I was very surprised at the complete lack of customer service. I'm the first to complain when the checkout person at Tesco wants your life story but in a shop like the whisky shop some easy chat about the subject would be nice. Let's face it we don't buy whisky because were passing and want a drink it's generally an interest his customers are into. I'd expect to pick up the odd tip of info or learn about a new bottling etc not simply walk in in silence buy a bottle and walk out. Hes lost a sale today as I've bought from amazon. I would normally support a local shop even if slightly dearer than interweb but with no benefit I'll just buy on price. Very sad. I'm a local that works in the whisky industry.

The whisky shop in the capital of single malt, Dufftown. Most whiskies can be sampled here in small bottles, which is interesting when you want to buy an expensive single malt. Prices are not especially low for being in the heart of Speyside
