A very big place, but very well set out. Great service and lovely food. Everything looking clean and sparkling and obviously very popular as it was very full. Really enjoyed this venue. Place to sit and have just coffee and chat, sit outside if a good day or stay inside and enjoy the décor.
Quick service with our food, piping hot & well presented tasty lasagna, fries were excellent & proper garlic bread & steak burger with delicious blue cheese as an extra topping complemented the burger well. Beautiful interior, spacious tasteful decor & very airy feeling. Outside seated decking was a bonus on a sunny day like today. Topped off with wonderful sweets to finish off a really lovely first time visit. Great parking facilities too. Will be back
such a beautiful and welcoming restaurant! a very comfortable yet classy vibe. the place is always spotless, staff are always attentive and friendly and the food is amazing! everything presented beautifully and tastes even better. very filling meals. highly recommend.
Great venue. Spaciously warm with a friendly atmosphere. Staff and service were perfect, and the food was delicious. A lovely ambience. We will most definitely be returning soon. Thank you, Boardwalk.
I love the River House in Stirling and was pleasantly surprised that they have another restaurant in Camelon, Falkirk. I was having my car serviced so popped in for some breakfast... staff were so polite and welcoming. Same very high standards as Stirling. Service was prompt and not over-bearing... it was just lovely and comfortable... I shall remember it for next time the car is in
So the food is always fantastic and service speedy but it's got one thing that always kills it for me, it's so hot in the right hand side of the restaurant that both times Ivs dined here, I have left instead of staying for a few extra drinks. Overall, I can't ask for better food or a well mixed menu.
Beautiful atmosphere and ambience and the restaurant was sparkling clean. We had the Sunday carvery and the food was absolutely delicious. Full plate of food and 3 choices of meat. The service was fantastic and we hardly had to wait anytime between our courses. The waiting staff were very attentive and polite. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Pleasant location. Parking is ample for cars and bus stop is right outside. Good seating area with tables for set meals and relaxing area for coffee etc. Nice bright location with 2 glass walls running the length of the building and seating area outside fir the brave. A good selection of food. We have visited with friends on a few occasions. Had set meals which were lovely and good portion sizes. We recently visited and had the full breakfast which was fantastic and came with toast etc... on cold days there is a fantastic heated simulated fire which is the biz. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Toilets are clean and always fresh. Recommended for groups or 1:1 meals or coffee
Visited with 3 friends from Glasgow on Tuesday 3rd January, they could have been having an off day but our experience was terrible & both myself & my husband were mortified having recommended it! Only one of us ordered a starter which came in the time you would expect but then we waited over an hour from ordering before my friend found the same guy who took our order to ask what was happening, he went into the kitchen & came back out but never came over to us to offer any explanation, when our food came - 3 soup & sandwiches, a ciabatta & a burger it had obviously just been made! The soup was hot but not piping like you would expect, the steak ciabatta was lukewarm, the chicken burger was ok? my friend & I both had the breaded chicken, mozzarella & basil hot sandwich which was in no way shape or form hot! There was no basil in it, 3 pieces of chicken & 1 maybe 2 bit of mozzarella - the bread hadn't been anywhere near toasted or heated & neither of us ate the bread. My husband had the pastrami, pickle & Swiss cheese sandwich which we took a photo of, it was dire! Not even 1 slice of cheese or pastrami on the sandwich & 2 pickles! There had been an attempt to toast it as you could see faint lines where it had been in sandwich toaster? We were asked on receiving food if everything was OK but we had barely started & he didn't stay to hear our reply! After finishing our soup we started on the sandwiches & that was when we asked someone over to show them the sandwiches, the guy then went to speak to a manager & it was agreed that they wouldn't charge us for myself & my husband’s sandwiches, the plates were cleared after finishing apart from my friends plate & a fries bucket which then sat on the table for about 45 mins before my friends daughter left the table to ask someone to come & clear it! Throughout our visit there were plenty of staff on & they walked by us constantly but we were ignored & trying to get someone's attention was pretty much impossible! Someone takes your drinks order, someone different brings it, someone else takes your food order & so on & so on so there is absolutely no continuity between staff members! After the last of the plates were cleared a girl came over explaining that she was one of the supervisors, she apologised & explained that the service we had received wasn't of their usual standard & they would look into what had happened, she asked if we would like desserts but as my friend then explained we only had the table till 4pm & we had waited over an hour for our mains & nearly an hour for plates to be cleared then there wouldn't be enough time for them to get desserts out to us & we all wanted to leave. I rarely complain & am sorry in this instance to have to do so but our bill was still expensive & the quality of the food & service was really appalling, really not sure if we will ever be back?
If you like the Duck Bay Marina then you will love this. Same luxury style restaurant with a relaxed feeling. The Boardwalk has great parking just before the Falkirk Wheel. Staff are extremely attentive and nice to talk to even though it was busy. Will be returning. Cakes are gorgeous as were the tuna melts we had.Food: 5/5
