Cocktails and drinks are reasonably priced its always a lovely time here in town in the Wheatsheaf. There is a brilliant menu and a relaxed atmosphere and cosy surroundings. The barstaff are wonderful and the food is perfectly cooked. plenty of parking space and outside areas to enjoy too. A well looked after venue all round.
For a curry night the selection is very limited, we ended up having lasagne and that wasn't great, portion size was more like a kids meal.
Really gone downhill. Simply can’t cook a steak. Ordered medium, come out well over well done, really dry and chewy. Not ideal for a £20.49 mixed grill. Told the waiter, and he offered a free drink but no replacement for the 8oz steak. Said he’d have a word with the kitchen. Heard nothing back for ages, so asked another member of staff if he’d heard off the kitchen. Spent 20 minutes waiting still not heard anything so left without a sorry or a refund. Definitely won’t be returning
Danielle and team did an amazing job at organising our reception for our wedding, kept us in the loop, managed to fit 60 guests in the room, food was amazing and so fresh and hot, drinks were lovely, Danielle did everything we asked for, couldn't of been more of a perfect night, thank you so much guys from Mr & Mrs crampton
The Wheatsheaf is fantastic, the building has a great atmosphere, the staff are incredibly friendly and Knowledgeable. The food tastes great and there's a good selection of drinks. Parking can be difficult when busy.
