The atmosphere is nice and the quirky old school decor looks good. The stools aren't the comfiest though. I liked the experience overall, the beer selection is great and I tried a honey IPA which was delicious. It was quite pricey, which I suppose comes as a side effect of good beer from various locations. But more than £13 for two pints seems excessive for the area, regardless of content. I would consider going back but there are better locations nearby if you're on a budget. I would be interested in trying the food based on other reviews, which might improve my opinion.

Loved this place! Perfect for my husband who loves beer and me being a vegetarian as there was so much on the menu to choose! If we are ever in the area again we will be back!

Cracking smallish pub. A vast, ever changing range of ales to choose from, paddles of three sold, friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. It does get extremely busy though, so seating is at a premium.

Quirky place. A brilliant selection of beers. It isn't cheap however. If you want to do a few pubs, then it fits in nice with a visit to the Belle Isle opposite and the Meat and Barrel round the corner. It isn't far from Southsea Common and the Southsea Shopping Centre!
