5 stars for location, right on the beach, Perfect for the sunset's. Good looking bar inside, live music at weekends. 4 stars for food and drinks decent pub grub, Good selection of Beers and Ciders. 3 stars for service. I get they were busy, but a little acknowledgement to say I've seen you, goes along way. Grumble aside..nice place, good atmosphere, definitely would visit again,
Lovely little pub on the beach. We stopped off after meeting some friends, had some drinks and some beautiful fresh cakes. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere . Sports on TV. Food being served looked lush. Toilets Outdoor seating Stunning views Dog friendly Will definitely be back in the summer.
Surprisingly good although a little pricey. The place is a little run down and needs some tlc, toilets are out of soap and a bit dirty. But the food was good. We had fish and chips and it was really good. The beer was decent as well. If we are out on the beach again we will definitely visit again.
With a prime location directly on the actual beach, it becomes really busy. Inside they sell food, both hot and cold. There's a counter to the left selling hot drinks and cakes. I can recommend the hot chocolate In the middle you have the bar selling alcohol and cold drinks. Order at the bar or counter. You can eat outside on benches covered by umbrellas, or inside. Dogs are allowed as they're allowed on the beach. Dog water bowls are located about the tables. Star dropped as the toilets are a bit manky looking and dirty.
Best place ever. Good for the children, families, or friends, people with dogs. Very friendly, positive atmosphere. Very relaxing. The sunset is stunning. And honestly watching the sunset with people around, and drinking a hot tea, or sider ,whatever, the feeling is very positive.
A wonderful place for a drink and a meal with family or friends or just be there. The scenery is spectacular. Very quirky . Definitely recommended. A must for surfers and water lovers.
I have been comong here for 45 years first time back in a whioe. This is one of the best pubs in the UK. You just can't beat the atmosphere, entertainment, no nonsense food at fair prices buzz that is hard to find. Love it
A bar on the breach, what more could you want! Good selection of pub food ,burgers chips, nachos etc... Good size portions. Pricess are on par with other places in the area. Toilets on site for use by people on the breach also.
This is truly a bucket list destination ladies, gentlemen, children and pets! Albeit my first visit to this absolute gem of an aptly named establishment, was during the late October day after an epic trek down from Perran Sands along that majestic shore. Only to gasp at the glory that is the well deserved resting place that is The Watering Hole I felt like an extra in the classic movie 'Ice cold in Alex' because of the overwhelming relief of this places existence Truly wonderful welcoming staff and the food was utterly amazing abd excellent value for money. We spent the entire day there surfing, eating and drinking until the sun set the very next day. Taxi even picked us up on the sand Thanks for the memories guys, we'll be back in the summer for certain
I have to give a one star because the last time I came in this place, I pointed out how disgusted I was with this sugars. Be aware of these sugars. These companies have been gradually reduced in size over the years, open up your perceptions. Becoming aware of the little signs of disrespect. Make us change habits and not support these kind of companies. They are very greedy and do not deserve our respect or money. Look at the hands on the packaging. The white hands are perfectly formed and bigger. The black hands and arms are smaller and deformed. They make me sick. We are one people, the system of control has divided us into towns, cities and countries. Taught us the everyone outside of our county is a foreigner. There are no foreigners just people the same as ourselves, they to have been taught to fear us and other cultures, religions and shades of skin. United as one people, one voice, one love. ‍
