We have a fantastic range of home baked and home made food, we use where ever possible locally sourced ingredients and local suppliers.

Story

Groundwork South Trust took over the running of the Cafe in April this year. We work hand in hand with the community to create and improve green spaces for the benefit of the community and help reconnect people with nature. We provide training and support to help those furthest from the job market back to work and promote greener living and working to help families and individuals to save money, resources and reduce waste. The Walled Garden Community Cafe is just about that ...The Community.

Absolutely appalling service ... complained to staff Chloe steven Sarah Jane and Annie because fish was over cooked and we paid £6.95 for a sausage and cheese panini and chips when arrived it had half a sausage in, 4 chips and no cheese.  The staff were all discussing in the kitchen and pointing and gesturing at me and the manager then came out and started shouting at me in front of all the customers!! Disgusting this will be going on Twitter now!!  I thought the customer was always right??  I will be reporting this to Crawley newspapers I ended up asking for a refund because felt sure if I asked for food to be re cooked the staff would spit in it!!!... that’s the sort of staff they employ there!!!

As soon as the sun comes out so does the staffs bad attitude! Staff cannot cope with busy periods and when they tell customers 30-45 mins and an hour half later your still waiting apparently thats the customers fault, or at least how they make you feel! Food turned up colder than the ice age and burger bun was stale! Complained to the young staff member who offered to re-cook it in 10 mins (yet it had already taken over an hour and a half?!? Took the refund option and went elsewhere. Another lady had an arguement with the staff when they twice got her order wrong. Avoid.

A bit pricey for a coffee and mass produced (not very tasty) slice of biscuit based cake slice. Staff are friendly though and the eating area is quite well kept.

Good menu, good food - the baked potatoes are fantastic - and good value. The staff are friendly and a lovely setting. Regular visitor.
