Couldn't leave 0 stars. Veteran of the RN and ambulance service. This GP surgery is the worst. If you have an opportunity to go to a different GP I'd advise it. Ive suffered with problems due to my previous jobs and it took nearly 15years to get a proper diagnosis, being passed from pillar to post. 1 Dr in your surgery with a little compassion and understanding of people's situations wouldn't go a miss. This surgery gives drs a bad name. Avoid at all costs.
Never had a problem, especially the nurses, professional and very friendly especially nurse Emma.
Practically impossible to get an appointment as there seems to be no queue system on the phones so unless you've got 40 minutes to just continually redial then you've no luck. Receptionist are also incredibly rude, I went in to drop off a sample one day, rang the bell, receptionist came out, looked at me, and walked a way. A real shame as my experience with the doctor's has always been lovely but it's so inaccessible you never get to see the doctors!
Do not under any circumstances have an appointment with Dr Soomru she is an awful person and just dismisses anything you say and implies that you don’t know anything about your own body.nMy medication has been withdrawn without warning and doses have been changed several times without any reason as to why.nHospital notes are ignored and then they say that they haven’t received them and then miraculously find them once the hospital ring the surgery themselves.nForget follow up calls/appointments as they are non existent.nThe surgery is not wheelchair friendly and is nearly impossible to manoeuvre around especially if you need blood’s taking or vaccinations.
Honestly I've lived in Wallsend since I was born and I've always used this surgery until I moved cities for university. The receptionists are very sweet on the phone and the communication they have with the chemist next door is up to date. Which considering places I've been to, it's unfortunately not common.nnIt's easy to register and they can book you appointments ahead of schedule too which I much prefer
