Best local bakery, also does warm food, very generous portions

My children and I look forward to going here when we are up visiting my Mom. We live down South now and it is so nice to go in and choose from the wide range of treats and savouries, most of which we can't find where we live now. The food is REALLY good and you get a lot for your money. The people who work there are really nice and always have a friendly smile. We were extremely sad to hear that Ray the owner had passed as he always made us feel welcome and we left with a smile on our faces with my children commenting on how friendly people up North are. Condolences to everyone there as he was a lovely person. If you are in the area, I recommend literally everything on the menu, but in particularly the gigantic ham sandwiches. We can't wait to go back but it will be a few weeks so I will put an order in with my Mom so she can bring me some stuff the next time she comes down.

Great selection of sandwiches, pies cakes and olives! They have a handy hand wash dispenser on the counter which is a thoughtful addition.

The best ever cheese and onion slice! Just pop into a hot oven for 10 mins. Worth breaking any diet for a slice of this delicious pie xxx

My first visit came all the way from Shaw,heard about this wonderful bakery off my son he buys his sandwiches from there.Lovely old fashioned village bakery,not many of them left now.Very clean,covid safe. What more could you want ?
