Great Wetherspoons pub this is, whenever have called in here have always found a relaxed calm atmosphere, but guess that depends on the time & day of the week you visit! As always excellent selection of ales and other drinks, excellent value food served all day and into the late evenings convenient at times for us! and friendly staff. Good location in the heart of Brixham and close to the bus station.
Throughout the visit the customer service was friendly and polite. We ordered three breakfast sandwiches to go and they were ready within 15 minutes. They looked ok at first glance, but could have been cut in half, but I think due to the packaging see through bags the kitchen staff decided it would be easier not to cut it. My sandwich was ok, but I wish I'd ordered it to be toasted as the type of bread they use is thin and should be for toast or fish and chips. My sister had a sausage sandwich, but it did not taste right - I tried it and it made my stomach feel funny. Shame really, because the other sandwiches were ok. Pub was clean and the vibe was nice and relaxed at that time of the morning.
Meet a friend here once a week for a gossip and catch up. We find this pub to be friendly especially the staff, helpful and clean.There is a decent assortment of food and drink at good prices, l had sirloin steak medium rare with all the trimmings for £6.99. This was a managers special, very nice and the steak perfectly cooked.A decent bottle of Australian wine for less than a tenner. Best thing is we can sit there chatting for a long time and no-one hurries you..Keep up the good work Vigilance in Brixham.
We popped into here for a quick lunch. It was absolutely packed and just managed to get the last table. I ordered via the app hopping we would get our food in time. I had no need worry as our food came out really quickly. It was really well cooked and piping hot.
Nice choice of real ales and well kept. Very busy at lunchtime but did visit at half-term. Low prices make it a popular venue.
We all enjoyed our meals, hot & tasty, best we have had at this group of pubs 9& very much good value for money. Really good service , thanks all.
As far as wetherspoons go this is actually quite decent. As a Londoner I've been to many of them and a lot down my way aren't even worth going to but this definitely seemed okay. The staff were nice too.
Staff where lovley drinks decent price, food not so didn't feel great after eating chicken bbq stack other half didn't feel great after eating mix grill. Great place to drink food give it a miss.
Popped in today with my partner for food and drink, not regular Wetherspoons goers but today was exceptional as we got served by "John' at the bar who was very attentive with a positive attitude, nice to see good service in trying times as its what makes these visits worth it.
One of the best Wetherspoons great atmosphere friendly staff good food. Nice and warm inside on a cold day,can definitely recommend this place.
