Excellent food at a reasonable price. Spacious and comfortable surroundings ensure a very pleasant dining experience. Large car park so no problem parking and no stairs/steps to negotiate.

Had a lovely meal there this afternoon. My husband ordered the suet pud which should have been served with mash but came with chips instead, not a big problem, he followed up with treacle pudding with custard AND ice cream. Never had this combination before but he enjoyed it. I had steak and then the cookie dough dessert, which was one of the best desserts I've had. There is a lovely large area for children to play. Very pleasant altogether. Thank you

Different inside than from the outside appearance. Very roomy and light. Staff friendly and welcoming

I’ve been to the Vernon arms many a time, I live locally and I have never found it to be below standard, whether it be food drink or service. and I find the comments that have been put towards the Vernon arms recently by ex members bitter and untrue. I believe they have been put across due to jealousy of the position which was held being temporary and requirements they were unable to meet. The person commenting on any negativity regarding The Vernon Arms Hotel, is a bitter ex ambassador of the establishment which many people know they are above standards, as they as always strive for excellence and as a regular consumer of the Vernon arms services I find it totally unjust and unreliable source. I implore everyone to make there own decision base on there own judgement to comment on the service.
