After receiving 2 seperate confirmation texts for my appointment at Vanilla Rooms I arrived to be told my hairdresser was not available. I was informed that she had 'tried' to phone me several times, I said sorry but I've had no calls.  The Manager of the salon then spoke to me, she was clearly annoyed and said "you have been called, it will have been a withheld number so you'll not have answered it!" She said my hairdresser had the opportunity of attending an awards ceremony and it was too good to miss. I said that I'd had no missed calls and even if that was the case she'd not left me a voicemail. Previously the Salon have contacted me via email yet still I'd had no cancellation email only the 2 confirmation texts. I politely said I'm sorry but no one has tried to contact me, somethings obviously gone wrong somewhere. I travel over 30mins to go to this Salon i definitely would not have wasted my time if I'd have known. The Managers reply was "if you don't want to come here again that's fine I totally understand" I said sorry? She said "well if you want a free cut I can arrange it" but repeated "if you don't want to come again I understand" Not once did I receive an apology or hear the word sorry, nor was an alternative hairdresser offered to me despite the salon knowing they'd failed to speak to me prior to my appointment. Totally based on the Managers unprofessional nonchalant attitude I've decided not to go back for the free cut! Clearly clients are not a priority in this Salon. I would not recommend Vanilla Rooms to anyone.
